Suhweet! Thanks for the info. The only place I've really fished for them from shore is around Wethersfield Cove (10 mins from my house)...I assume I'll be able to nab a few there. But I'll have to try your area too. I wouldn't at all mind catching 3-5 pound schoolies to get the blood flowing. Quote

EdKras Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I've heard Ct outfitters in Hartford is good for striper info(I stick to LM/SM). I saw on another site that they have a striper seminar coming up soon. Quote

Oh, and I'm always strapped. Not really, but the only gun I have is a 30-30 lever action. It'll get the job done, but it's less than inconspicuous. Thanks EdKras, I'll check it out. Quote
fishizzle Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 For some reason when the sun goes down the schoolie stripers stop biting. A great 3 hrs would yield 30 fish, an average would be 10 and a bad day 0-3 But you must be an expert caster to cast far sidearm under tree branches so your lure gets to the hole and then stop your lure before it hits the trees on the other side Also not too many keepers are caught in these areas but its still fun Quote
