Any guys in that area know some good local ponds where the fish are bitting? Quote

huskybass Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Pattagansett, Roger's, and Gorton's pond are all decent. Quote
CTangler006 Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 If you don't mind paying $25 for a permit from the Regional Water Authority (rwater.com), you can fish the Maltby Lakes, Lake Chamberlain, and Lake Saltonstall. They are not open yet for fishing, but I have had really good luck at both Maltby and Saltonstall. The Branford supply pond, Lake Wintergreen, and the Ansonia Reservior are other good ones not far from New Haven. Quote
mostbass Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 I wanted to go to the Maltby lakes, but they are not open yet as you mentioned. I actually went to Lake Wintergreen, no luck but should be a good spot for the future. Thanks guys! Quote
