sluggofrogger Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Hello to all. New to this forum and I am planning a houseboat trip to Kentucky Lake in late April. Have fished Dale Hollow and Reelfoot past two years without much success but didn't do research I should have. Targeting Largemouth not Smallies and I am an avid Bass Fisherman so I am not new to the game, just the location. Have looked at guide services but outrageous prices because they offer all the gear, boat, gas, etc and we have all of that. Just looking for advice on areas (gps coordinates also if u have them) and presentations to use for late April. Not sure what air and water temps are that time of year. Want to minimize tackle I have to haul out there so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Quote
CJ Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Should be a good time to be here. Most likely will be a shallow bite. I'll shoot you a PM. Quote
xpressman Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Sluggo, Make trip every year around that time. Always do real well with shallow crankbaits on main lake points and when the su gets up high go to baby brush hogs and senkos on secondary points and around any wood. Also check the back of the first or second creek arms on the largher bays. Good luck Let Em Live Quote
