jwo1124 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I live on the Northshore of MA. I mainly do all my freshwater fishing in local ponds. Some as small as a couple acres, others are 70+ acres. Most of the time I am bound to the shore line, only bringing my small aluminum boat out on occasion. I am a very passionate avid fishierman, and I am really looking to advanc emy skill, knowledge and gain more experience in order to excel. I'm 21, in college full time, I really don;t have any friends or elders I know who enjoy fishign as much as I do, translating in not having anybody to share fishing with or to learn from, or teach for that matter. Anyone in the area of MA I'm from, or further away who would be intersted in meeting up and fishing together. Since I am a non-boater, having another angler with a boat to fish with and learn from would be great. At times it seems like I lose the love of fishing every so often because I really don't have anyone to share it with. I am thinking about making a local bass fishign club through the local bait and tackle shops, but i figured I'd throw this out there too. Maybe even do a group outing or tournament with boaters and non boaters. Anyway, let me know if anyone is interested. Like I said I would love to be able to fish with someone I could learn from, as well as share the experience with. -Joe Quote
TopDog Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Hi Joe, Id be glad to go out fishing with you next year. I live in Shrewsbury, But will travel anywhere. I have nothing fancy, Just a 16 foot aluminum G3 boat myself with a 25hp, but it works LOL! Quote
jwo1124 Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 That'd be great. I'm just looking to improve my skills and meet some people with the same interests as myself. It's still fun going out with my brother or a friend who knows "how" to fish, but it's different unless your fishing with someone who has the same passion that you have for fishing. I'll keep in touch and maybe we can meet up in the spring after ice out. Quote
llPa1nll Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Hey Joe, I always like to bring someone out on my boat. I live in NH but this year started fishing MA. Where abouts on the North Shore are you from? Im just over the border in the Salem NH area. Quote
jwo1124 Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 I live on the Northshore. The border isn;t too far for me. I can make it up to NH via I-95 or 93 in less than an hour, and up to Salem in probably an Hour depending on Traffic. I used to go up to Canobie Lake Park all the time as a kid. I absolutely love NH. Growing up as a kid, my good friend's parents had a house up there in laconia right on Lake Winni. Just being up near the woods and the mountains and on the lake is a great atmosphere. I'd gladly make the drive up to go fishing. What bodies of water do you fish? On this map, I live right on that small pennisula sticking out on the coast next to Lynn. http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4ADBF_enUS222US224&q=salem,+nh+map&um=1&sa=N&tab=wl Quote

The body of water I fish the most is easily Cobbets Pond, in Windham NH. I have fished some lakes just over the border in Mass probably the closest one to you would be Lake Attitash in Merrimack. jwo1124 Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 baboo, I have a small 12' aluminum that's ok for the ponds I fish. It can fit two people, and needs two people to load and unload out of my truck. It does the job and is actually quite fun to fish out of unless the wind is pushing us around. Quote
Masshole Mike Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 i don't have a boat, but i'd get together to do some fishing some time. i live about 30 minutes west of worcester but i'd travel to do some fishing. if you want to hit up the quabbin this year, which i would highly recommend, pm me and we can set something up. i guess that place is unreal during the spawn. my sisters boyfriend said last spawn he was pulling 3-4lb smallies out on every other cast. i've seen the pictures, too. Cigarlover 1 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Craig, you ready? Spawn-May, I expect to see you bro. Come down for the night on a Fri and we'll hit it Sat morning That's a plan man. I let myself get way too busy last summer. Course this summer after June I'll be a daddy for the first time so I'm sure my head will be spinning. We'll get together in May though for sure. Anyone that wants to come fish N. Central Ma is welcome to visit my neck of the woods. We've got a lot of little ponds with hidden hogs just waiting to be found. Just shoot me a pm. Quote
