Tokyo Tony Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 What do you guys think the odds are of a warm front that lasts a week or two that will melt the thin ice in the CT area? - I'd guess that this won't happen enough to melt all the ice, but I'm still *hoping* for a warm front at least, maybe in the 50's for a few days... What date would you say ice-out is in CT? - I'd guess March 20th What would you say the odds are that I don't totally lose it and freak out before ice-out? - I'd say there's a 15% chance I don't freak out Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 11, 2007 Super User Posted December 11, 2007 Ok no warm fronts, snow Thursday and possibly a "big" snow storm Sunday/Monday. Ice will be out on Pachaug March 26th. I WILL be going crazy in the next week or so. But this site keeps me somewhat sane. Quote

Tokyo Tony Posted December 11, 2007 Author Posted December 11, 2007 Yeah it's iced up in CT too. Sucks. Good thing is that the streams are still goin' strong and the trout are still catchable. I need to invent something like a big heat fan or something so I can melt all the ponds in my area :-/ Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 11, 2007 Super User Posted December 11, 2007 How about that big truck with all the jet-engines on the back of it that is always at all the air-shows in New England??? Sure it throws off a lot of heat. Quote

Super User Tin Posted December 11, 2007 Super User Posted December 11, 2007 There is only one spot you need in CT to catch fish and big ones at that, and it never freezes. Hint: Starts with a waterfall in Voulantown, connects a chain of lakes, is "OVER-looked", and you bette rhave tin to fish it. Quote
