Shadcranker Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Strike King has combined the hotest lure class of '07-'08, the Basstrix type swimbait with "sexy shad", the hottest lure color scheme ever marketed (thank you KVD). Check it out. http://www.***.com/descpageSWIMSTRIKE-SKSAL.html# Brilliant marketing. I've also noticed that SK has come out with a "Sexy Spoon", which is a big 4" and 5" flutter spoon, to capitalize on Kelly Jordan's whack-fest on KY Lake in UMF '07. I wish I owned part of Strike King. Guess I'll have to have some. Anybody else going to take the bait? Quote
Captain Chaos II Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Holy Product Pimp Batman!! I'll wait for some reviews on that one.....the Berkley bait reviews have been pretty positive so trying that one next. Quote
djmax22 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Yeah I saw the sppons. The sexy shad color pattern is cool. I picked up a few of the SK lipless crank yesterday. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted February 27, 2008 Super User Posted February 27, 2008 YAWN! Sexy trout pattern, perhaps? A few added oz of weight? LOL Quote
Super User T-rig Posted February 27, 2008 Super User Posted February 27, 2008 Bass don't care if it is a chartreuse shad or a sexy shad. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 27, 2008 Super User Posted February 27, 2008 Bass don't care if it is a chartreuse shad or a sexy shad. Big difference in those two patterns. Quote
Other. Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Sexy Shad is such a good color pattern. Can't wait to try it out this spring! Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted February 28, 2008 Super User Posted February 28, 2008 sexy shad is so overrated. chartruese shad has been around for a long time and nobody made a big deal about that! paddle tail tubes are also getting old IMO. im getting tired of seeing them all over the place. Quote

Are you blind? There is a great deal of difference between the patterns. paddle tail tubes are also getting old IMO. im getting tired of seeing them all over the place. : Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted February 28, 2008 Super User Posted February 28, 2008 This whole paddletail tube thing IS pretty lame. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted February 28, 2008 Super User Posted February 28, 2008 This whole paddletail tube thing IS pretty lame. it sure is its redonkulous if you ask me. they have pretty much the same apperance as a boot tail shad lure (sassy shad type lure) which have been around for a while and nobody made a big deal about them. sure the shad lures have a wider profile but you could trim them. but im not here to start a heated debate on paddle tails so im just gonna shut up now :-X Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I'm impressed with the detail on those Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 28, 2008 Super User Posted February 28, 2008 This whole paddletail tube thing IS pretty lame. The notion of paying $25+ for a package is rediculous. The baits do work though. :-X Quote

BassFishingMachine Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I know this has probably been asked tons of times, but how do you rig these paddle tails? A hook with a weight molded into the bottom of it, like some use with a soft plastic frog? Quote
Jake. Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Bass don't care if it is a chartreuse shad or a sexy shad. That's what I'm saying. Quote
BassFishingMachine Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 And I don't understand what the big deal about that sexy shad color is, yes it looks beautiful as all hell to me. But im not a fish. The ayu, and both gizzard shad colors look most natural imo. I think I'd choose them over the sexy shad color. Quote
Turtle. Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 "sexy shad", the hottest lure color scheme ever marketed Sexy shad catches another one : Quote
ohiobassmaster93 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 ok heres the difference between the sexy shad and the chartreuse shad....the sexy shad "buys" the fisherman.this bait is nearly the same as the chartreuse one but it looks better to us....and thats what makes money for the bait companys....when they buy the fisherman with baits that look good but might not even catch one fish Quote
SWIFF Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Bass fishermen are like a bunch of crack ho's about whatever some professional fisherman sez is "AWSOME." ;D Quote
SWIFF Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Let me try again.....Bassers are like a bunch of crack ho's about the latest AWESOME bait some pro is sponsoring! ;D Quote

Are you blind? There is a great deal of difference between the patterns. There might be a great difference between the two pattern to you but bass don't care. New color patterns catch fisherman not always fish. Quote
