Fishing during spawning period

Hi All,

Can you please advise what is the legislation in your countries(especially European counties) in respect of freshwater fishing ,and especially bass fishing, during the spawning period? Is there any period that fishing is prohibited because of spawning?

Hi,

Here in France, fishing lures is closed from last weekend of January to 1st May, it was initially for pikes, but they even close fishing for Zander and Bass. It's a non sense law in my opinion, because when the opening happens, Bass and Zander are not protected in many regions. Anyway, for most people, fishing is for eating ... 

With the change of mentality, things tend to go on the right way, but we are far from the US way to manage the water. But it's in a good way. 

Some regions now open fishing during all year for all kind of fishing, just somes rules to follow. That is good, but it's not every where.
