I noticed you did post on Tripadvisor looking for some information and I hope some people respond.  I stayed at Dreams last year, which is located on the Corridor.  I cannot recall if it is the Westin that has swimmable beachor maybe the Sheraton, but most areas in Cabo and Los Cabos are not swimmable due to extremely strong undertows/rip currents.  I mention this because surf fishing may prove difficuly due to the force of the waves.  It seems like every week there is a story of somone drowning around Cabo.  Many of these people were not swimming, but merely walking the beach or ankle deep in water when a large wave knocked them down and dragged them out.

I don't want to spoil your fun but mention it only so you're cognizant.  Have fun, and if you have anymore questions about Cabo, let me know.
