brgbassmaster Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 is there bass in germany because i might pcs to ramstein afb. and i was wondering if there is any bass fishing in germany. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted January 31, 2008 Super User Posted January 31, 2008 Sorry man, no bass over there. There are bass in france, spain and italy. To get a german fishing license you have take a fishing exam first. You can catch perch, zander (similiar to walleye), pike and wels catfish in germany. Off course there other fish like trout and other less interesting species. Quote
brgbassmaster Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 well that puts a damper on things. Quote
MaxDal Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I'm not 100% sure of that but I think there are Hybrid stripers being caught somewhere in Germany. Well anyway, those seemed to be rare catch. Got any info on this T-rig ? Quote
Super User T-rig Posted February 13, 2008 Super User Posted February 13, 2008 Yes, there are some hybrid stripers in northern Germany, Brandenburg to be exact. They are hatchery fish and I assume that some where released in puplic waters by bass enthusiasts. I hope they spread all over europe but I think at the moment there are very few to be found. Al should know more. Here's a pic of a german hybrid: http://barsch-alarm.de/uploads/gallerie/albums/userpics/11796/img_4382-01.jpg Quote
