AussieBass Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Yep we have Bass. Probably more akin to small mouth bass in looks and fighting ability from what i have been told. You will freely hit lures and flies as well as bait and are agressive fish. Surface lures also perform well. Good fish would be anything over 40cm with a top fish anything over 50cm. Biggest i have seen a photo of was over 60 however this is massive and not frequently caught. I have hopefully attached a photo of a average fish caught in a local river. One thing to consider through is that up north they are stocked into some dams along with Barramundi. Makes for an interesting fishery. Cheers, Chris Quote
Garnet Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I watch the Australia Fishing Championships on WFN TV here in Canada. The bass fishing looks cool and I'd like to try Brim fishing. Not many boats to beat in these tournaments. Garnet Quote
