BigGame0892 Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Not much not to like about Stockton. Big largemouth, big smallies and some nice walleye to boot. just watch those winds when you're navigating the north end up near the dam. It can feel an awful lot like Kansas in that area! Its just like any Ozark lake - pray you're fishing in a cold front or snow and you'll cave their heads in!!! 3 Quote
TH-Outdoors Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Does anyone here fish any Smithville lake tournaments? There are the Burtons tackle thursday night and weekend tournaments along with the Smithville bassmasters tournaments. I'm wanting to get into the scene but I'm unfortunately a non boater. I hardly ever get to fish from a boat and really want the experience. Also, if anyone in the area would like to fish just let me know. I'm 19 and wil be back from Mizzou for spring break after next week and I'm hoping to get on the water. Thanks. Quote
Ondrejka Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Just got this picture from my mom. This is what happens when I give my old man my spots and pattern. It's a good'n too, he's stoked. Probably his biggest in a long time. Big green fish for St. Patty's Day. He also added that my mom has been the Drum queen today. 2 Quote
MXHalofan Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 OK Boaters, my 93 SV CHIRP has come in and I am planning the install. How do you guys like to orient your screens? Can I see pics of your console screen setup? Going to pickup my boat now Thanks a lot! Quote
Ondrejka Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 A few from last night to show you my configuration. Just depends on what I'm doing at the time. 1 Quote

Once for Corporate Challenge in May and once the week prior to pre-fish. A BR guy and I did well last year prefishing but that lake kicks my butt more often than not. Another buddy fished the Burtons tournaments and got smoked just about all the time. There are some people that really know the lake in that deal. If I need someone on the backseat for my prefishing this year I'll keep you in mind. 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 18, 2017 Global Moderator Posted March 18, 2017 La Cygne was slow as expected Thursday, but at least when I got one it was pretty nice. 1 fish short of a limit and a couple more shorts. 1 Quote
MXHalofan Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Also, who do you guys use for detailing your boats? Quote
Ondrejka Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Best five with customers today at 18#. Pretty consistent pattern the past few weeks. Was giggling at all the boats in the hot water. Sounded like it was a tough day for them from the guys at the gatehouse.. 16 hours ago, MXHalofan said: Also, who do you guys use for detailing your boats? Me, myself, and elbow grease. 2 Quote
inunishi Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 3 years without a boat ended last night. Can't wait to get out and fish again. 7 Quote

I'm getting the urge to try Olathe or Hillsdale. 19 minutes ago, tyson2925 said: Bluebasser, any signs of fish moving up at la cygne? do you think we are getting close to a spawn in the warm water lakes? thx I didn't see any but the water temp are getting close. The monster that got caught out there yesterday looked like she was about to pop. 1 Quote

MXHalofan Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Worked on the boat all weekend. Really happy with my setup. Did all the season prep stuff, installed the 93SV and built a box for the front deck. Had just enough left over carpet. Now I need to test the 93 Quote
jeremycnwy Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Here are some pictures and the video from the giant I caught at LaCygne this weekend. She weighed 10 ls 15 oz and released to fight another day. 18 Quote
