Mine was on the huge brushpile on the last cove before the trees start to get thicker. It only weighed 3lb 3oz on my scale though. I guess maybe she ate a couple big shad or gills after I caught her.

Same areas as Micah's but his was in the grass.

That's pretty close, just a little further down the bank to the south. I never catch anything along that part.

Other than that fish we didn't catch much further south from where you were.

I was just about to say we were just north of there.  It was her right side and i could almost fit my hole hand threw it.  Awful hole.

Yeah, several small clubs do. Both boats on the water with me were prefishing for a tournament out there. Pretty stupid to jam a cull tab in a fish for a $200 tournament.

Especially a 3.5lb fish. Must have had big plans to cull up from there....

The guy I talked to said he was catching 20-25 pound bags regularly out there until this month when it got much tougher.

I can believe it. I love that lake.  Still stupid though.  Even more stupid if it's not the same fish.  I wonder how many good fish out there have cull tag holes.

I'm going to get to learn it well since we'll be living 30 minutes from it now. Roadwarrior is going to be in town this weekend and asked me to take him fishing somewhere Friday. MC is one of the front runners for sure.

I hadn't gotten the net out.  I lipped that sucker boat-side like an Elite Series pro.

That's acceptable.

Had a morning off guide trips Sunday morning. Rolled solo to Wolf. Weeds are so choked out it makes it tough in some areas. Adapted and overcame.

I want to get out there but I'm not keen on having to wear a life jacket when its 100 degrees!

Elite Series pros don't lip them... they reach over the side and scoop it into the boat almost throwing it out the other side!

It wasn't bad. I was off the water by 11:30 and the usual Wolf wind kept it bearable.

Fished Hillsdale for the first time after work yesterday and dodged some of weather. I launched from the Marysville ramp and went north from there. there seemed to be a fair amount if good looking channel swings in that stretch, but things were slow and the fish were running small. Ended up with a handful of 10 inchers and a few white bass. WT ~83

Fished Shawnee State Fishing lake last Saturday morning and this morning. Caught fish but it was a little slow. Nothing over 3 both trips which is a little disappointing for this time of year. Most fish were caught on shallow wood but got a few in the reeds. Had a couple of frog blow ups in the big pad field but failed to hook any. Caught not a single fish in the rocks on the jettys at all.

Here are a few of Drew and I's fish from Mozingo Saturday (and a bonus bullfrog). Fished pretty tough and the decent fish we caught were all super skinny. T-rigged craw and big worm were the most effective where wood and grass were mixed. Biggest was 4.25lbs. Need more battery for the gopro, missed out on a few of our other respectable fish late in the day.

You might see if you can do the same thing I do with my Garmin and plug it into the boats 12V charging port to run it off that all day.

My video from Mound City fishing with roadwarrior. I missed getting a good one I caught on a frog almost to the south ramp and another good one I caught on a big worm back in the stumps. Other than those 2, it wasn't until I finally stopped trying to force them to eat the Golden Shiner Wobbler and switched to Ivy that I really started catching them. Wish I would have done it before there was only 2 hours left in the day because the numbers and size went way up.

I'll check into it. That would be much easier than swapping batteries every 2 hours.

That's what I do now. Just direct connected to my 12V with a 6' cord I got on Amazon. SO CONVENIENT AND EASY.

Hoping Mozingo shows out this weekend when Keith and I have a 2 day EKB tourney there.
