Looks like I'll be heading to Table Rock Friday with Keith to fish with a buddy who lives down there that we went to school with. I'm already rigging rods. Beyond stoked.

I ended up deleting a bunch of white bass videos and shortening some of the cast/fights down, and it's still almost 25 minutes long

Yeah I've fished there, great for numbers with tons of 1 - 2 # fish, but no real size.  I mostly fished it during the summer, and jigs/plastics in and around the vegetation was the deal.  No experience during the colder months.

I fish prairie lee fairly regularly.  Was out last Saturday testing a new prop on my boat.  Fished for a couple of hours, mostly a rig and jerkbait.  NADA as in no bites.  Oh well, the prop worked well.

Yeah, I fish there quite a bit. Like KSadler said, no real size. Haven't ever caught one over 3 out of there. I do decently there on jerkbaits all throughout the winter.

Let me know!

So I went down to Table Rock with Keith this weekend on a spur of the moment trip to visit our buddy from school who lives in Willard. We planned to fish Saturday for sure, because Sunday looked like the weather was going to take a turn for the worse. We put in at Cape Fair and fished most of that area/James river areas. Needless to say the Rock humbled us all this weekend. Not so much as a sniff. We fished it all-dirty water, clearer water, shallow, deep, ran the gambit of baits. Nothing. However, this can probably be attributed to the fact that a major shad kill was going on in that area. There were shad EVERYWHERE, and 3/4 of the schools were dead or croaking off. The fish wanted nothing to do with our baits as long as they had all that readily available. AIA had a tournament that day, and we didn't see a soul in the areas we fished. Which I guess on table rock should have told us something. Took 19 lbs  to win that. Guess we just weren't in the right area. Sunday we didn't fish (but should have), because we were all too terribly hungover. But I'm just glad I got to fish the Rock regardless and get away this weekend. I'll be back *arnold voice*

I am 0 for 3 on the 2016 season so far. I went out for 4 hours today and did not even get a sniff. I did see a few bluegill out and moving around today though so that made me a little more optimistic that the pond  is starting to wake up a little bit.

Look for shallower areas on the northeast side of the pond/lake, especially if there's deeper water closeby. The sun hits those areas when it's at it's warmest so it will often be a degree or two warmer, which is a big deal in February. They'll be surprisingly shallow when it's warm like it had been trying to bring up their body temperature.

Went out for about 2.5 hrs. Monday and never had a sniff.  39-42* water.  Just spent some time with electronics.

Chris B? Do you know if he's fishing the circuit this year? Haven't heard or seen much from him on Facebook.

No war-hoot this time but Clayton did break out the "Hold it up for da camera". Lol. Tins stuck a good greenie. Looks even bigger than it weighed coming out of the water head thrashing.
