Ondrejka Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 How about the forecast for this weekend eh? I'll be installing my new Garmin unit tomorrow morning, and then trying to get in as much water time as possible. Who else is getting out? Quote

sizzlefry Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Sun down imaging with moon lights? blue boat down imaging is a 2 inch pvc tube you look in one end while the other end is in the water Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 7, 2015 Global Moderator Posted February 7, 2015 Sun down imaging with moon lights? It does have day and night options on the lighting screen so it doesn't look like a spotlight at night. 1 Quote
Ondrejka Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Done deal! Really pleased with how it turned out. My dad added his own touch to the ram mount and covered the bottom bracket with matching vinyl on the counsel. Adds a little more shock absorption, and aesthetically pleasing. Moved my old Humminbird to the front. Didn't have time to get out and test it today, but I'm super stoked to get to play with it all day tomorrow. 4 Quote

Ondrejka Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Well, looks like my new electronics work! Played a little hooky yesterday and took advantage of the deep Crappie bite at Clinton. Fish were holding tight to the channel breaks in about 22-30 fow. Definitely had to chase the schools around. Each bite window lasted about 20 minutes, with several doubles (kind of a cluster running two rods). Had a lot of fun! 2 Quote

RangerDanger Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 From the Lawrence Fishing District Newsletter: "A tremendous smallmouth bass sample was collected at ___________ (I think we all know which lake, If you don't I'm not going to be the one to give it up ) Reservoir in 2014, which resulted in this reservoir being ranked 2nd for this species in the 2015 forecast. High numbers of young smallmouth bass were collected, along with high numbers of adults; indicating that this fishery is only going to improve." Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 12, 2015 Global Moderator Posted February 12, 2015 I'll spill the beans, Wyandotte I've actually heard from a good source that the population is doing very well out there now with fish nearing the 18" mark not uncommon. 2 Quote
