Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 18, 2015 Global Moderator Posted January 18, 2015 Would it be worth going to wolf creek Monday? 6-12mph winds and 61 degrees? Absolutely I'd be going if I had the chance. 1 Quote
Super User gardnerjigman Posted January 18, 2015 Super User Posted January 18, 2015 Good video. I'd like to fish that place when the top water bite is on! Quote
Don't Tell The Wife Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Nice work guys and good video. Looks like you did pretty well. That second fish looked pretty nice too! Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 How many times I've seen Chris' face look like that, after breaking off. LOL Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 21, 2015 Global Moderator Posted January 21, 2015 How many times I've seen Chris' face look like that, after breaking off. LOL I laughed when I saw it too. That tree beat us bad. I think we broke off on at least 6 fish on that same tree. I'm thinking there might have been some razor clams on the roots of it. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted January 22, 2015 Super User Posted January 22, 2015 I made it out to LaCygne for a bit Monday morning. I was told the new stack was up and running so I had to go check it out. It was a cold but beautiful calm morning. The water was quite a bit colder than I was hoping for but shad were everyware! Several times they were packed tight enough they were showing a false depth reading on the BirdsDid I say it was cold?I ended up getting into some white bass on a Megabass 110+1 before I set the hook on something that simply wouldn't move! I could barely see my line move like I may have a fish that was snagged or something? I let it go slack several times hoping if I had something it would swim free with no luck. I ended up having to troll over to get unsnagged. As I got ontop of it a big fish swam under my boat and I had to lift the trolling motor to try and find out what it was. After quite a battle I saw it had big scales and my fight turned to a rescue mission. Remember I'm using a $25 bait! It ended up someone was snagging and had snagged this Buffalow. It apparently broke them off and swam around with the hook/sinker/braid hanging off itSnagging up anything it could find. This is the crap that I drug in with the fish and if you look close you can see an A rig with it.Anyhow once I got that in the boat I still had to get in the fish. I ended up pulling it in by wrapping the braid around my hand. Let me tell you hand lining a big Buffalow is lots of fun!Anyhow the fish. 1 Quote

Brian6428 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Can anyone tell me off the top of their head if I could launch at the Gravois ramp on LOZ tomorrow? I'm not worried about ice but I don't know how much the lake gets drawn down in the winter and if it would effect launching. Quote
Ondrejka Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Welp, here's the usual weekend Wolf Creek roll call. Anyone else getting out tomorrow? I'll be there by 7:30. Probably gonna hit the sports show Sunday morning. Quote

joefish Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Hit Wolf Creek today, caught several whites and smallmouth. Nothing that warranted a photo. Guys at the check station said nobody was not doing great today. Quote
Super User gardnerjigman Posted January 24, 2015 Super User Posted January 24, 2015 Shoot me in the face! Wolf creek was rough today. Few largemouth, some whites. Chris caught a good small mouth first thing in the morning. Guessing he had a big wiper eat a lipless also... Big mud flat, rod loaded up and peeled drag and was gone, all in about 8 seconds. Rough day boys :/ 1 Quote
