Troy Taylor Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I thought maybe it was an ethos. Yours is is first one I've seen outside of a store. I was looking at Their 7'6" EH/EF awhile back seamed decent for a 100$. Do you like it pretty we'll? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 18, 2014 Global Moderator Posted May 18, 2014 I've got 6 of them. Yeah, they're pretty nice rods for the money. I don't have any of the top end ones but I do have the $60 and $80 rods and they're great. Quote
kanasbassfisher08 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 well went to bone creek today for a ekbm tourny! the morning started of promising with 2 17 inch bass pass fish of the grass flats across from the main boat ramp. on a C&C big head wobbler! the work some coves flipping every thing in site and couldnt figure out a real distinct pattern but had a small limit by noon and then it got tough. the wind started blowing not terrible but im tired of wind thats for sure. caught several on the C&C bladed jigs and several pitching at stumps. the funny thing was they werent right on the stumps they were out a couple feet from them but when they decided to eat there was no doubt when they bit. its was over ran by hydrilla making it hard to flip alot of the stuff right on the bank. and never saw any cruisers. did see on on a bed way in the back but he was only 16 inches no help to me! but i swong on him anyways lol. did have one crush a pit boss but after not getting a bite for and hour i hadnt retied and i got it out of the matt but just to see it head shake and throw the bait,. looked to be around 6lbs would of been BB for sure. we finished at the dam and fished jigs but nothing but snags and had 20 mins left so i shook it up with a C&C shaky head with a zoom finess worm and that was the key! i culled a couple times through out the day but was tough to find the over 18s we were looking for. alot of fished were weighted in and only 4 over 18s and BB was 4.45 tied with two guys. but alot of the bass were post spawn and week i think out of 80 fish (guessing) 10 were weighted in dead! mine were lively and strong dont know what the deal was besides weak post spawn fish! after the tourny i did manage to stop by little Ptown and it was muddy like always but did catch alot of small ones in inches of water from the bank on a kvd chart black back square bill and quite a few others on C&C big head wobbler chart and white! then blew a tire on the way home good thing i just got a brand-new spare tire when i got the boat! Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 19, 2014 Global Moderator Posted May 19, 2014 Jon and I fished Linn Valley lakes Friday. We caught fish steadily from the time the boat touched the water until the time we left, pretty good mix of largemouth to smallmouth with a couple other fish mixed in. Mostly on the small side but I did get one long, skinny fish on a 6" Optimum Line Through that tried to take the rod out of my hands. How did I forget this one? Double of the day at Linn Valley. 6" swimbait, 5" sunfish for me, Jon with a dorkfish. 1 Quote
Doc-Drew Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 My wife and I went camping/fishing at Wabaunsee Saturday and Sunday. It was a strange couple of days at that lake. I don't ever remember catching so many small bass. Typically, for me, I never really caught a ton but they were nicer quality when I would go there. The last two days, it was a bunch of dinks with a 3lber mixed in occasionally. Here are a couple of the bigger ones. Quote
Skeeter9948 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Went to Perry this weekend for the Kansas Buddy Bass tournament....boy we stunk it up. Couldnt find a single fish.....then had a spark plug blow out of our motor. From the factory a 2014 Mercury 300XS had every spark plug not torqued down. We were able to unscrew the other 5 with just our fingers. Haha oh well....the gremlins in my rod locker got loose that day. I decided to head to LaCygne yesterday to wash the skunk off. I had one hell of a day....including this big bruiser. She choked a War Eagle spinner bait in about two feet of water off the dam. She was 22 and 1/2 inches and THICK. I didn't have a scale, but I'm open to some guesses on weight if anyone wants to chime in! Quote

Get a free account and upload your pictures to your photobucket account. I usually use their mobile app, which works great. From there copy the IMG code to the forum. Quote

Super User Hi Salenity Posted May 19, 2014 Super User Posted May 19, 2014 I think I went to the wrong lake? I hit Paola for about 3 hours Sunday. This is the only fish I caught! I was stubborn though, the only thing I threw was a jig! She was still nice and fat. Chris, I was still at my house at 9am. Look at the time/volts. Quote
