I can get Wednesday or Thursday off but I'm wanting to go with Blue so he can show me how it's done!

Me and Cbass12 are going to try to get out there this week too. Thursday works best for me but it's going to depend on the wind. Also going to depend if I can get a babysitter or not, Lake isn't quite old enough to go all day yet. Even if I can't go I can give you guys and idea of where we were.

Hi Salenity, I'll meet you down there if you want to go Thursday.

Understand the itch, just too much wind in forecast for me on the lakes with soft water.

What a difference a week makes! Cbass and I got to Coffey just after 9 and I think we were lucky number 13 on the water! Outlet was packed but we didn't plan on fishing there anyways, too bad the fish from last week were nowhere to be found  :dazed-7:  I caught one fairly quickly in the trees and that was it off of last weeks spot. DSCF0380_zpsf68aa0b2.jpg

We fished all through the trees, all the way to the bridge at the north end. Ryan caught one pretty solid fish flipping the trees, the rest were all white bass. We caught the whites pretty well along the bridge but that was the best fishing we found all day. We tried the outlet once but the wind was really picking up by then and it had been pounded for several hours by then, we only managed 3 or 4 dinks. I think we might have squeaked out 10 bass all day with probably 25-30 whites and 1 crappie :( 2 of those bass were fishing from the bank by the ramp before we left.

Blakemore's Rock'N-Runner chatterbaits are being discontinued. Cabelas has them marked down to $3.88 from $6.29. I've done really well on some lakes around here with white/chart in previous years.

On the things on sale note, Academy has 200yd spools of Seaguar Invisx for 9.99.  The sticker may not show that price in the store, but it does online and rings up at that price.

well went and fished a tournament down at bone creek and wasnt expecting much. we launched a little after 7 it was about 29 degrees out side and water temps were 39 in the morning and were 41 in the after noon. i finished 4 with one 18 inch and one 18-3/4 inch. i had two bites all day and got both fish on a new spro mcstick. on the plus side i found some good spots for spring fishing for this lake. the winner had a 5 fish limit for 12lbs  not to impressive for this lake that usually takes between 20-26 lbs to win just glad for the 2 i got.

I did just as good as Sizzle. One huge hit near the boat almost jerked the rod out of my hand fishing a jerkbait with 3 trebles it but nothing on the hook set ?

I do like the nasty weather out there, but I've never PB'd at La Cygne. I'm ready for that day that I catch one bigger than 10lbs 2ozs out of there though  :eyebrows:  13 for a low with a high of 27 sounds like a day that Jon and I killed them out there last January, our guides were freezing until 10 or 11 but we smoked them.

I ment Kansas pb maybe I'm wrong just guessing but got my point across I Think but if not its good in bad weather.

Thinking about LaCygne next Tuesday. Got empty back seat if anyone wants to fish with an old retired guy. PM me if interested.

That does not sound good. But I really need to get out on the water to shake some cabin fever.

Sometimes those are the best reports to find, prevents others from having to go through the same.

FWIW I got a report from a guy that was out testing his new boat last week. He said he fished for 30 minutes and caught 4 on a small green pumpkin jig and a 3" tube. Nothing big, but a fish is a fish after a winter like we've had.

I fished a 4 inch watermelon but got nothing. I thought I bought 3 inch but I was wrong.

I used a large GP jig and didn't land anything.

On the bright side I'm learning the places not to fish.
