Yeah, getting on the lake will get a lot more difficult for me in the very near future also. Just depends how long my wife decides to wait to have our baby. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 13, 2013 Global Moderator Posted November 13, 2013 don't rub it in I'd trade my good fishing days for having weedends and holidays off with my family. This year is the first time in 7 years (since I became an LEO) that I'll get to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas (most of it anyways) with my family. Quote

I think something we can all agree on is all of our employers need to give us one day off, every week, to go fishing. Might get more productivity out of us that way haha. Quote

Had them both off last year and it was the first time I'd had either of them off in 6 years, and get both of them off again this year Quote

Chris S Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Looks like the 2014 road trip is 10-1/2 hours away, who's going? I would rather fish Guntersville and stay at my brothers house for free Quote
pbrussell Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 15-25 mph winds with 35 mph gusts and tstorms in the forecast for saturday. I'm really hoping that changes or I might not be getting out this weekend. Quote

pbrussell Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Whats the chances we can get 4 ppl for the Roadtrip? Carpool, split gas, blah blah blah. I think the chances are better of me road tripping down to lake fork by myself... Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 15, 2013 Super User Posted November 15, 2013 That's what I was thinking the only thing is we could only tow one boat. It'd be nice to have 2 with four people. But we could have the KC cabin! Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 15, 2013 Super User Posted November 15, 2013 If we took my truck and pulled a boat it'd probably get 10 mpg (if I'm lucky) and probably use $400 in gas round trip. What do the cabins cost? Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 So atleast, $500 in travel / lodging per person. Baised on 2 ppl per truck and 4 in the cabin Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted November 15, 2013 Super User Posted November 15, 2013 Yea and 500 should get your license also. I'm pretty much good to go if we can round up 3 others Quote
