I caught 3 small bass on a Yozuri 3DB Jerkbait in the morning. Jekbait bite fizzled after about 10:00. caught about 20 more in the afternoon on a Drop Shot and a Ned Rig. They were both rigged with a finesse shadz. the biggest bass I caught was 2 lbs. no Smallmouth. also caught 3 big drum on the Ned Rig. Biggest fish I ever caught on my ned rig rod. too bad it wasn't a bass. did not catch one trout. Yeah I have an old alumacraft that I put a bow mount and a deck in. If I would have known that was you I would have stopped and said hello! 1 Quote

My wife will be giving birth soon so I probably won’t be going much for the first couple weeks after that. But I’ll be out there and if I see you I’ll swing by and say hello 1 Quote
doughboy1979 Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 I will probably be heading out to La Cygne tomorrow afternoon to try out the 93sv if I can get it installed in the morning. If anybody want's to meet up or whatever, let me know. I always enjoy meeting new people on the lakes!! Quote
SuperFluke Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 If anyone is looking for a boat, mine’s for sale! It’s got two Garmin plus units (93 and 73 sv). Might have a few waypoints on it too ?. Details on Craigslist. Just search for 2010 Triton VT 17. Quote

If anyone is looking for a really nice boat, here it is. I've personally fished out of it several times and driven it myself, it rides and fishes like a much larger boat but it's perfect for getting around on the smaller lakes in our area while still being big enough to take to the larger reservoirs as well. doughboy1979 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Fished Lonestar again for the last time this winter. Bite was hard to come by in the morning, but in the afternoon it was better. Caught 5 bass, but only 1 was a keeper. Just installed my 93sv with the ultra HD sonar/transducer. I need to read up over the winter and learn more about it. I think something is up because a some of the images on the DownVu seemed fuzzy when showing trees and the SideVu I had no idea if there was fish there or not. Oh the joy!!!! Quote
KansasSkeeter Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Has anyone been down to Wolf here lately? I know they do plant maintenance around this time each year which turns the hot water off. It's been awhile since I've been down and thought about hitting it this weekend. Fishing this year out there has been off so hopefully the cold snap will get things moving again! Quote

Your images will be blurred if not moving or moving slow. Turn your scroll speed up to see if that helps. On your sidevu, try manually setting the distance to 40 or 50' and see if that helps. Drew03cmc Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Guys, I love reading about your fishing exploits, but don't feel my treks around small ponds and community lakes in South KC warrant many posts in here. I've come to love tossing big baits and have a Dobyns Fury 806 rod I'd love to trade straight up locally for a 6'6-7' MH casting rod. Anyone interested, holler. I've found what I like doing is tossing Triple Trouts around shallow cover. They're my favorite baits for active fish. Quote

I think hearing/seeing what big swimbaits catch in smaller bodies of water is cool 1 Quote

Only fish I caught on it...about 6am, 40 degrees that morning. 1 hour ago, Lincoln said: The big bait thing isn’t something I’ve really tried yet. For a reel, I have an Ardent Apex Magnum on it, but a Curado 200B would work as well... 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 14, 2018 Global Moderator Posted December 14, 2018 Hot water shootout at La Cygne tomorrow, lake is going to be PACKED. I did pretty good Thursday, jerkbait and a shakyhead caught most of my bass. A trap and shad rap caught a bunch of whites. Went for a few hours again today, water was 8* colder in the same spots I fished yesterday with the exception of the outlet. Couple bass on shakyheads, a wiper and a few whites on traps, swimbaits, and a shad rap. Quote

Those of you that fish it regularly, is there even a point to heading south in the winter? Water was 44-45 when I was down south and nothing was below 50 north anywhere we went. Just trying to learn that lake a little bit. Graphed very little bait south at all. Quote
