"LA CYGNE: 53 degrees at hot-water outlet, clear, normal. Outlook: Linn County Parks reports: Largemouth bass good (two 10-pounders and a 7-pounder were caught over the weekend) on crankbaits, white bass and crappies fair."

Anybody here fish at Lacygne this weekend?  Looks like some big fish were caught!

I'd like to see pictures of the 10s. I'm wondering of they made it back to the lake too. My money is on no.

It was only 52 at the outlet when I was there last and that's what it was 2 weeks in a row.

I was at La Cygne on Monday and it was terrible. We fished from 8-4 with only one white bass. We talked to six other boats on the water and only one boat had caught a fish. With the front that came in it seemed to shut down the fish.

This past sunday it was over 60 at the outlet and 55-60 everywhere else.

Unit 1 has been off for a while- I think Unit 2 hasn't had much load for the past few weeks.

Sounds like LaCygne to me.

Fished Table Rock the last 2 days. Today was the first BFL of the season in the Ozarks Division. Prefished Friday and had a pretty good day. Today not so much. Cold front and high blue skies made the bite extremely slow. Caught some fish today but nothing big enough to weigh.

Props for doing Ozarks BFL! This or ABA will be my first tourney trail when the time is right. No better learning opportunity than that. My buddy Paul nearly had me entered but then I decided to start my family, which pushed that out a bit :)

They are a lot of fun. Definitely a great learning experience. I have done them in the past and kinda a got away from them. This is my dad's first year of doing them and he was a boater so I went done with him to walk him through it. Made me miss fishing the bigger tournament trails.

Connor- are you thinking about the BFL as a boater?

Had some fun guys out on Saturday. Ended up being one of two boats out until probably 10:30-11. Turned out to be a beautiful day and caught some good fish. Surprisingly the moving bait bite was consistent even when the wind died down and the sun was high. I couldn't buy a fish on a tube or swinghead but those guys were catching fish all day on a Wobbler or swimbait. Had fun with some nice Wipers too.

We spent the weekend at Wolf, second boat on Saturday and first on Sunday.  Not may boats out either day, the cold weather must have kept everyone at home which is alright by me.

Saturday was fish on from the first cast.  The morning saw a lot of wipers and green bass while the afternoon had quite a few smallies out of shallow and deep water.

Sunday was absolutely on fire, we pulled up to the first spot and didn't move the boat for over a hour.  We hammered a giant school full of wiper, white, green, and brown bass.  Did the normal hot water laps after that.Xvbc0c.jpgLOIvBC.jpgCwvpW7.jpg

@Advantage and I fished Bourbon County State Lake Saturday while @basshunter0731 and his son were on their boat. We didn't catch any big ones but lots of largemouth and spots on jerkbaits, jigs, and spinnerbaits. Jon was catching them good on a wart but it wasn't working for us.

Casting practice sounded like. I'm still going Thursday. Catch fish or die trying.

Yes.  Cold cycle.  Air dry.

I'm sure Blue will go out and catch a hundred, and that's ok.  He's good fish whisper guy.

Been lurking the thread but figured I'd post up. I'm located in Lenexa and picked up my first boat last Spring. Been fishing for about 4-5 years now since when I was a kid pretty casually but hoping to get a bit more serious and hopefully keep the livewell full. :)

I've been sticking to small KC lakes mostly (Olathe, Lenexa, etc.) but hoping to spend some time learning LaCygne, Hilldsale, etc. this year. My impeller was showing signs of needing replaced last year so I just ordered the parts for it. After that hopefully I'll be ready as the bite picks up.

Had a decent four days at Table Rock fishing the Webb Outdoors Central Pro Elite Solo. Easily caught 300 fish in four days. Mostly on a smoke grub and a jerkbait. Had a limit both days of the tournament by 8:30. Finished just out of the money but still had a blast. Here is my video from the tournament.

Does anyone have a feel for when the bass start spawning on La Cygne and Wolf Creek?  I fished Wolf Creek a lot last year in Early March and it was getting ready to happen.  Catching some fat females up shallow but then the wind blew for the rest of the month and I never got to follow up....

March is gonna be the time this year for big females, as it was last year. But like you said, the spring KS winds are gonna be a huge factor in that like last year. My guiding days are fairly limited between March/April due to tournaments, so I plan to hit it pretty hard, clients or no clients.

From the KC Star. Like Clayton said I'd like to see some pictures of the "10s". Biggest I've seen this year has been 8.8 a few weeks ago in a tournament. If there were any 10s caught, they surely went home in a bucket and no one ever saw them. I feel like the bass fishing scene here is too interconnected for someone to be keeping their "10 lbers" a secret with no publicized pictures on Facebook or anything. Especially considering pretty much everyone knows that lake is capable of it and it's no Lake X honeyhole. Kind of like @RangerDanger going to Falcon and catching "more 5-6 lbers than you can imagine," but not taking any pictures of them because "taking pictures of 5-6 lbers on Falcon isn't cool."

Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the info as always!  Its just hard to believe (I want to believe!)  show me the pics!
