Did someone bust thru or just fall at the beginning?

Lol, the ice popped real good when I got within a few feet of DJ and Brian. I kept my distance after that.

You are crazy for going out on ice that thin.  I'd love to go but there is no way I'm going with a sketchy 2 inches.  Are there ever any bigger trout in that place?

Yes, yes I am. It was worth it though and I'm alive to tell the story. First time I ice fished there in late Jan/early Feb 2014 with Charles, there was probably 4-5" of ice. I was really surprised it was barely 2 yesterday. When I used to bank fish there right after ice out, I hooked one that was pushing 3# and broke off at the bank. There has been talk of them stocking a few between 3-6 lbs., but with it being a put and take fishery, and the amount of people that fish there, I'd imagine most of the trophies get harvested. I'm sure there are still a few hiding in the deep hole.

if you wanna risk life and limb quit foolin with those pond stockers, let's go bust ice for walters!

Clinton's ice is in that limbo where it's certainly not safe to walk on but also not safe to try and bust with any boat  hoping that changes this week

The warm temps and wind the next few days should take care of it in a hurry.

Thursday and Friday are both looking good. Since I didn't go last week, there's a chance I might go both days. If anyone is feeling sick, you know where to find me.

Wolf if the wind cooperates, La Cygne if it doesn't.

I can probably make either one work on Friday.

Let me know, I'll be going somewhere.

I'll be somewhere on Friday too. More than likely Wolf, but Brent's been putting out fish on LaCygne...

TELL ME WHERE TO GO.

Looks like Saturday at wolf will be 60 degrees, partly clouds with a SSE 12mph.

I'll be fishing Friday through Sunday wherever I can! And you know 12mph forecasted equals 12+10 at WC

That was my point, but I didn't want to be the bad news guy again. I'm sure you could get a few hours of fishing, but unless you are tweaking really bad, probably not worth your trip. Spring is getting closer though!

I'm always tweaking really bad. It's a perpetual state. With the temps they have forecasted, I don't care what the result is. Beats being at home "WISHIN I WAS FISHIN" heh heh heh.

I'm definitely ready for the fishing season to kick off. Plan to break that kicker curse from last year early this year. If it wants to wait until April 23-24... I'm ok with that.

Adam and I are thinking about going as well.  The only problem I am running into is that may be prime Morel season.

I would rather fish 2hrs at wolf than 10 hours at LaCygne.

I'm gonna pretend like you didn't just throw out the possibility of not fishing LOZ for....mushrooms. Mushrooms. Bye Felicia.
