I gotta meet up with some of these bass-tards and get fish catching tips since I don't fish stillwater much and am waaay behind the 8 ball. Who do I make the $19.99 out to? It'll be in used jigheads, hope that's alright.

In God we trust, everyone else pays CASH!

Are we going to do a fall get together this year? I'm itching to do another weekend trip.

You should attend one of the Thursday nighters. You can easily fish those lakes from a paddle craft.

Our fish off is in the middle of October. Not sure when another weekend deal could get squeezed in.

I'm set for the fish off. Now I just have to convince the fiance we can win money at LOZ for BBB so I can make that weekend trip too, lol.

My wife is always pretty easy to convince. Granted, it costs me my credit card and the fear knowing that she has 16 hours of unsupervised shopping possible. Just drives me that much harder on the water. Oh well, it's just money... so technically it's hers anyways right?  :dazed-7:

I need to find a suitable canoe or yak for cheap first.

I don't blame em after fishing hillsdale all summer!  :laugh5:

After looking back at it, we actually ended up only fishing it twice in the rotation (twice too much). The third time would be Sept. 10th, but we're fishing Miola instead haha. I think Adam is the only one who's bummed on that considering he had a 3 and 4# the last time through  :tard:

You can manually mute the whole conversation and not have to put your entire phone in airplane mode.

Airplane mode at bedtime and throw it down the hallway at work

Although a threepeat would be awesome I'm fine with putting my Hillsdale legacy to rest and fishing Miola instead.

Coty did most of the important catching, and I missed the 2 bigger fish that I caught, so the footage isn't great, but here's what I got from La Cygne Thursday night.

Had another awesome day at Melvern yesterday. My Dad has been on me for weeks wanting to get him out there. Was a little worried about the front that came through overnight on Saturday, but it didn't seem to effect much. A bit chilly and breezy to start. First cast of the morning on a Sexy Dawg yielded the first fish of the day. My dad followed suit shortly after, but his on came on the Ned. After about 9am it slowed down quite a bit. We bounced from spot to spot, but the only thing that remained pretty constant was a topwater bite. He's never really fished topwater much so getting to teach him how to properly walk the dog, and then get continuously blown up on was awesome. By noon we'd gone back to a point that we'd fished a few times earlier in the day that's usually really good for us with a southwest wind, but yesterday it was blowing northwest and didn't seem to have any effect on the spot. My dad and I both had several fish pushing 4# come unbottoned. He did have big fish of the day just shy of 3lbs. All in all an excellent day, and it'll only keep getting better.

Jake and I went and checked out Cedar Valley Saturday.  One of the roads was closed so it ended up taking us forever to get there since we are so unfamiliar with the area.   Started out with two quickly over 15" but couldn't find any big fish. Ended with about 25 total.  and our biggest 5 went between 10-11 pounds.  The biggest fish was 3 Lb 2 Oz.  All our fish came on a shakey head or a T-rig Beaver. We did catch a couple spots which was cool.  Jake managed to boat some drum and channel cats as well.  EVERYTHING on the lake looked great!  I hope to get down there again soon, it's just hard to make the drive there instead of Melvern. .

DJ and his dad went there yesterday while my dad and I were at Melvern. They had probably 12-13 fish, biggest was his dad's at 4.3#, really nice fish. All others were 2# or under and they caught 5 cats over 5lbs.

I'll get out there someday. I'm feeling a vacation day on a Thursday in the next few weeks... doubt it would be all that hard to convince Clayton to roll that direction.
