It was good meeting you too, Ranger. Seemed like we could talk "shop" for hours. Those rods have plenty of mojo left. I pulled that 4-5 out of Butler on the Croix, and the big fish from Wilson SFL on the Oakley.

Hey guys, we've kicked around the idea of getting everyone together for a "Christmas" dinner. It's winter and we don't get a chance to hang out...

I'm thinking this Thursday would be the best date? We've had a suggestion of a Mexican restaurant in Gardner or Sizzle has said we can have it at his house in KCK.

Anyhow who would be able to attend?

Would this be a family type deal? Meaning wife/kids included? If so, I'm in!

I could go to either place.

The place in Gardner would be closer for everyone but I guarentee the food would be better at Sean's!

Sizzles place isn't that far of a drive but will it hold a bunch of people? Just witht he people expressing interest, you're alreafy close to 20 people with at least a few more I thinkwill come. Could easily be looking at 30 or more people in a house.

We're at La Carettas now, party room is free to reserve and open this Thursday. I went ahead and reserved it for 30. If it's not what we want to do I'll cancel but thought I'd grab it while it's open.

I'll be there and maybe plus two that's my last night before my on call so last sober night for a week! And no fishing. Ya and if it's at sizzles idk what guatamexicans eat in America I'm guessing shad guts buffalo and pizza but not sure

Went to Olathe after work on Thursday to see if I could find the wipers. I found them, but they wouldn't bite. Decided to go lure hunting, that went really well, 18 baits after a lap around the lake. The beavers out there have sure been busy.

Towards the end of my lap my battery was dying so I started tossing a jerkbait to get my mind off of how slow I was moving. Got to one good stretch with deeper water near the bank so I forced myself to slow down and fish the bait right. Caught fish on back to back cast and was really wishing I'd have fished for bass a little more.

I also had a fish pull off at the north corner of the dam.

Curt and I fished La Cygne Friday, fishing was pretty much all we did. I think our finally tally was a white bass, 2 small wipers, and 4 dink bass. I had what felt like a really good fish pull off a jerkbait but never saw it so can't say what it was. Stacks were never going and the outlet was only 45 degrees, 50 was the warmest water we saw all day.

I went to La Cygne yesterday 730-1300. No power was being generated and the outlet was a whopping 46. I managed to catch a few bass and crappie all on the northern side. Mainly used a drop shot worm really slow, however I did catch the crappie on a moving crankbait.

Fish really slow, then slow down to about a 1/4 of that speed.

You actually have to fish to catch them.

What time are you guyz thinking? I would like to make an appearance. Probably would be able to make it up from Lawrence around 7.
