Late fishing report.  Tried Melvern in the wind on Saturday with my dad.  We only caught 5, but 4 were fish over 15".  The only way we could get bit was a drop shot in 16 fow near the d**n.  I'm still learning that place and hoping to explore it some more next year.

Man I'm sure these fish are going to disappoint me at some point but they've been in the same place and eating for over a week now. Decided to keep some for Cbass and another guy at work. Biggest was 5lbs 13ozs and in the 24" range. Got a few fat white bass that got tossed into the mix too. Coty is coming off the DL Thursday to hopefully get in on some of this action with me.

Our fillet table here is 2 2X12s screwed to a sheet of plywood for a size reference.

I just can't keep away   Was much slower for Peter and I yesterday, but 2 of the 4 wipers we caught were toads, and the "little" ones weren't bad either :) My first was my biggest of the day/year at 6lbs 12ozs and a good bit bigger than my 22" board, Cassidee approved too.

The only one nice enough to eat Peter's spoon was at least a really good one. A bit shorter than mine but super thick and his new PB wiper at 6.5 pounds. Completely covered my board though.

How do you like the Batwingz as a trailer? I was thinking about giving pork a shot for the first time this winter/spring (noob i know) but I'm thinking the batwingz might be the best of both worlds and less of a pain.

And I'd rather not take this to the fishing tackle thread  :dazed-7:

I remember that Melvern fish.

Yeah, it is officially the smallest fish I have hooked in the mouth with an artificial bait

Wanted to give a little update.

I ain't been around much. You have seen me selling gear. Life is a jumbled jigsaw puzzle at the moment. Not sure where things are going, or who will be there when I find out. Guess you can say I'm preparing for the worse. Paying off debt. Selling everything. So, my boat will be last.

Good thing is I'm dropping pounds like a mad man. 30 so far. One of stress's benefits I guess.

I'll still be around, and probably will poke my head in once in a while till things sort their self out.
