Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 21, 2014 Global Moderator Posted September 21, 2014 Yesterday was a good day for big fish I guess! There was another PB caught yesterday by a KC area guy too but I'll let him decide if he wants to tell the story or not. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted September 21, 2014 Super User Posted September 21, 2014 I got to finaly catch a decent size fish on my new Destroyer rod and Tatula R reel. For some reason I need heavier jig rod than most 4 Quote

2003Stratos Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I have to say I've been pretty quiet on this forum for awhile. This whole summer I've been struggling to put fish in my boat. There were more days that I care to count where I went home catching 3 or 4 small fish or nothing at all. Saturday afternoon all the frustration and the disappointment seemed to be worth it. Between trolling motor problems, not knowing where the fish were or not being able to find out what they were biting on..........it's been tough for me Quote

Greg Hackney said this sport is the toughest, pin you on the ground and kick you, mental mind warp game he has ever seen. I agree 100% Quote

Greg Hackney said this sport is the toughest, pin you on the ground and kick you, mental mind warp game he has ever seen. I agree 100% That's no joke. I've learned real quick. If you're not 110% focused on what you're doing, you won't produce fish at all. Summertime fishing (for me) isn't easy. It can be a real head scratcher and a mental drian Quote
Ondrejka Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 PB caught at lone star today just shy of 5! Caught on a jig Was on Lone Star yesterday from 7-noon. Went back to the same dock I lost that big one on the other night and found her. First hookup yesterday she ran and broke me off on dock cables, re-tied the same Baby Brush Hog, second cast back in and THUMP, she was in the net. Super fun fight, sounded like I was in tourney with how much I was yelling. I just knew she had to still be there. Persistence pays off fellas. SWEET REDEMPTION. Also just shy of 5. 4.83# Quote
Doc-Drew Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Nice fish guys! I went to Lone Star Friday afternoon and caught a few. Nothing big but it was a lot better than sitting at home. On the plus side the steering that Chris and I worked on worked very well! Was on Lone Star yesterday from 7-noon. Went back to the same dock I lost that big one on the other night and found her. I plan on going back out there Wednesday afternoon to see if I can catch something that would be worth taking a picture of. 4 Quote
