Mr_Scrogg Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Nebo SFL is a nice little lake. Pulled a 19.75" out of the pads there. I wish I lived a tad closer. It's a ways away for me. Quote

It's a ways away for me. You sir, are the first person I've ever heard of catching a fish out of those pads. I've fished them for hours and never had so much as a bite. Several of my friends have fished them and with the same results I've had. It isn't much to look at but it has an insane number of quality fish over 18". Thankfully it's small enough, far enough away from the major cities, and down enough dusty dirt roads that it doesn't get a ton of pressure. Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I wish more lakes had dollar pads. Those ones big as Semi truck tires are hard to fish. Got it on a buzzbait, July of 2011. Quote

That would also make it the only buzzbait fish I've ever heard of anyone catching out of there, and I've tossed one a lot, well done. Quote

joefish Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Just wanting to find out. . . . . . Are there any old retired guys that read or post to this forum topic? Not that I mind the youngsters, heck I've learned quite a bit from reading their postings. I retired last Spring and would like to find someone close to my age that is retired and is able to go fishing about any time they want. Basically I'm lookiing for a fishing partner that lives close to Wyandotte County lake. I have a boat and would like to put someone in the back seat. If anybody is out there send me a PM and maybe we can get together this spring. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 20, 2013 Global Moderator Posted January 20, 2013 Probably going to have an empty back seat this Thursday if anyone is interested, just let me know. Quote

LOL http://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=28777 Wow. I gotta admit I dont know if I would have the determination to tear out and redo an entire deck framing once I got that close... you are a credit to your craft sir! That looks like a fun project to do if your not in a hurry. And no fiberglass grinding to deal with must be nice.
