FROG11 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Back from Toledo, in 9 hours of fishing, me and a buddy caught 53 with 16 keepers... Saturday morning - fished from 7AM - 1PM and caught 36 with 11 keepers. Majority of these came on SBs on wind blown banks. We were fishing just north of the Pendleton on the TX side. White spinnerbaits seemed to work best. Pattern was grass mats on wind blown banks, could almost call your shot. We had 4 or 5 productive banks/stretches that we kept rotating through. Watched the LSU game........ > then.. Saturday night - fished from 7PM - 8:30PM and caught 6 with 4 more keepers. We fished in the Negreet area around some islands. Caught these fish on buzzbaits. Sunday morning - only fished an hour and a half from 7AM - 8:30AM and caught 11 with 1 more keeper in the Turtle Beach area. Caught these on just about everything from spinnerbaits, to texas rigged brush hogs, to senkos, trick worms, and buzzbaits. Didn't have much size to the fish we caught..but it was fun to catch so many!   Best 5 went about 15-15.5 lbs. Quote

Super User Long Mike Posted October 26, 2010 Super User Posted October 26, 2010 We didn't do so well last week-end. The four of us caught maybe forty in four days of fishing. Only twenty-two were keepers. It would have been half the amount if the other boater hadn't stumbled upon a large ball of shad at the mouth of Hurricane Creek. They were in twenty-five feet of water and the bass were tearing them up. They caught twenty fish in as many minutes and then the bite turned off. Nothing for the rest of the day. Another little tidbit. We hit a stump in the middle of the boat lane that runs through the Community Cove area. Ya'll be careful out there! Quote
