I've spent many years fishing this pond in a jon boat, even out on the main lake.  The key is learning as many public launches as possible. Back when I only had my 15x48 weldbuilt flat and my sup'd up merc 40 big foot, I use to get some weird looks out at Indian mounds and the chicken coop.  Even had one guy in a 20 something foot skeeter ask me if I was mental slow lmao.  Then again us Cajuns are pro's at running lil boats in big water. A season of duck hunting grand lake will put many years worth of boat's men's skills under your belt.  I would be more afraid of a idiot running over me then if my boat was to small for the wave action. 1 Quote

I would think with the rain water coming in that  would keep the water temps down, and with the water level rising will this affect the spawn? 1 Quote
