mguidroz Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Ok, here's my report from last weekend and yes the lake was full of boats Sat even with BBS on Rayburn. I fish Housen and 6-mile Sat. 10-15 fish caught on chatterbaits and TR ole monster in 8-10 FOW. The better fish came off of wood on humps and points and ridges. Best 5 went around 18lbs. Sunday the wind was hollowing out of the north. I fished about 5 hours with only 3 caught. All on TX ole monster. A buddy of mine fished Sat/Sun and had 20+ pounds both days before lunch. I should have went with him.... 3 Quote

Bass_Fanatic Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Caught this 9.87lber Thursday afternoon checking a spot for Friday. Made 7 cast and caught 3 fish including the big one Thursday. Friday morning we caught around 35 fish, all in 15-25'. That evening my dad hopped in the boat and caught 48. He fished again Saturday and had 3 fish at 4:30, then ended up with 53 at 6:30. The evening bite has been unbelievable. 10 Quote

FlukeJr Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Fanatic, are you fishing offshore? If so, what depth and what lure? Quote

FlukeJr Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Thanks for sharing Fanatic! My neighbor caught 47 last weekend at 23’ somewhere near Patroon. I’m still trying to learn the “deep” technique. 2 Quote

Super User Catt Posted May 2, 2018 Author Super User Posted May 2, 2018 @Bass_Fanatic It's obvious y'all are on the main lake but what y'all throwing? Quote

RCCA Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 I tried all them baits deep the best I could in them giant lake waves from the mouth of Six Mile to the mouth of Mill. Idled and searched a lot, also. Weak results. At least I caught one nice 6.5 pounder on a jerk bait. Probably go try mid lake or Rayburn tomorrow. 1 Quote
Super User Catt Posted May 3, 2018 Author Super User Posted May 3, 2018 Is it just me or is the Carolina Rig making a comeback? I think it's partly due to the lack of grass. 1 Quote
