Amateur Hour Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 The forecast looks ok and the wind shouldn't be that bad, but who knows. I have a bunch of deep stuff marked that I want to fish if possible. 2 Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 18, 2018 Author Super User Posted April 18, 2018 I'm probably gonna wait for the full moon & do some night fishing! Â The wind has been crazy for over a month now! 2 Quote

Sounds like a good plan, the spawn is drawing to a close on San Miguel not many fish leavet on the banks right now.  Well there wasn't last time I got to go out but who knows maybe a few still doing their thing.  Just been to windy for me the last few days, that and I been busy with setting up a new deer stand and doing some preseason preping. 38 minutes ago, Amateur Hour said: The forecast looks ok and the wind shouldn't be that bad, but who knows. I have a bunch of deep stuff marked that I want to fish if possible. RCCA Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Might not be too crowded cause the Big Bass Splash is going down at Rayburn. Good luck. 1 Quote
A5BLASTER Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Was able to get out this afternoon, found bass on their post spawn pattern spots. Â Buck brush with shad blown in it hitting the frog and on a few humps in 10 or lil less water with cranks. Â Biggest being a spawned out female that was just over 3 pounds. Â Most being just over or just under 14 inches. Â Landed 23, keep 7, missed are lost like more then I want to admit too, brings up a good point to remember slow down check my hooks lol. Â Hope this helps somebody. 3 Quote

Amateur Hour Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 There is also a bfl out of San Miguel.  2 quick questions:  1.  Is the shad spawn happening?  2.  For those that like to fish deep.  What do the fish do when it is cloudy?  Do they move up on top of the ridge or do they just act normal?   Thanks. 2 Quote

Just got to get use to this hitch rotation again, been awhile since I was on a steady 21/21 hitch.  If the weather would be nice I could get in a few last days of fishing before wensday.  Wind is building today, and log trucks or over turning in zwolle drive safe. Quote
