I too was out there Wednesday through today (Friday).  We caught right at 50 fish each day but size was hard to come by.  Wednesday we only fished for 3 hours and caught over 40 fish and our top 5 went 22lbs.  Thursday and Friday we caught 50 fish a day, but only 15-18lbs.  We found a lot of deep fish.  They didn’t bite very good though.  When they but, we would double up 8-10 cast in a row then they would shut off.  18-23’ was our magic depth once again.

That's a beautiful bass right there.

Me and my best bud ran them Thursday and Friday on San Miguel and the 1215 area, best size came in the 1215 area.

Wind was so bad we used the flat and stayed shallow throwing 4 inch swimbaits, didn't do as bad as most we ended the trip with right at 30 caught between the two of us with most fish Friday being in the 2 pound range.

Did have one nice fish break me on hook set.

Deepest fish was around 7 foot on a messed up cast with a frog, friend backslashes his reel and the frog sank when he got it free and started reeling a bass picked the frog up from the bottom.

It was fun and giving the conditions I'm more then happy with how we did.

Soon as the weather stabilizes it will get better.

@Bass_Fanatic & @A5BLASTER

I brought my Alweld expecting to fish the back of creeks but couldn't buy a bite in the back of Housen', 944, or Hurricane.

Everything we caught was near midway in the creeks in 4-10' away from the bank on the outside grassline.

Everything was on plastics ?

We stayed were the water was the dirtiest aka muddy with lots of grass and brush and the bass were there, but no steady bite, go throw catch a few then they would turn off, come back to it a hour later hit a few more then again they would turn off.

Luckly we had a few spots we could hit like that.

Other then a small dink school we found on a hump in shallow water with square bills and traps (they were feeding on shad), everything was on plastics.

Ghost shad and watermelon red color, both colors producing equally, bigger fish on the ghost shad.

We only caught 20 but nothing under 2 1/2 lbs, top 5 around 22 lbs.

8.25 kicker helps ?

Most productive lure was Bonehead's 7" Ring Worm in Black Blue Flake & Watermelon Candy

I talked to probably 20 guys & almost everyone is struggling!

The deep water bite is more consistent when the weather aint whipping ya!

Managed to pick up 2 nice 2 1/2 pounders on a white buzz bait early this morning.  Only fished about 2 hours, then it was time to head home.  Gonna try and get back up next month!!  Hopefully the weather will cooperate next time!!

Easter Sunday my two boys and I had a pretty good day on the Bend. We had 30.59lbs best 5 including a 8.28,7,57,6.30,4.24 and a 4.1. All caught on a 12" Magnum Ol Monster in the Mid Lake area. All fish were females ready to bust. Great day with my two sons.

What’s up Lane! This is Josh Sikes.  Heck of a bag of fish man.  We been catching 20-25lb bags pretty consistently but I haven’t hit 30lbs yet this year. Congrats man.

Josh I have the Toledo Bend Blues. I wanna get back up there some bad. Wish I could live on that lake. We will be there April 28th weekend. Both of my boys will be fishing the Highschool State Tourney on the Bend. The youngest boy will be competing in the Jr. Division. He is jacked up. We are putting in at the North Toledo Bend State Park.

I’ll be there also.  I’m a boat captain for a local high school team.  I plan on talking to everyone there letting them know about the opportunity for these kids to continue to chase their dream at the college level.  I’m sure I’ll run into you.  We will have to talk big fish over a Dr. Pepper lol.

It's the Louisiana Highschool BASS trail.

This past Sunday after fishing for 9 days straight, I decided to go hit a local lake by the house. It was pretty cold with a stout north wind. Both my boys had enough so I went solo. Needless to say they will never miss another trip again. lol Had 25.14lbs best 5 punching mats all day long.
