bayouXpress Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Im not asking for someone's "secret hole". Ive never been to the area and am not fimilar with the names of surrounding places so im just looking for a spot where fish are known to reside. If people cannot share general information then why are you on a "toledo bend fishing forum". a lot of people can catch fish. Its finding the fish that makes you a real fisherman that can adapt on the water. This thread is to do just that. Teach you how to read a map and take that knowledge to the lake. Much more satisfying than having someone else pick a spot for you. just my opinion. Quote
bayouXpress Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 on that note.. That was the scariest I ever seen that lake on thursday. It was nasty. Quote

Bass_Fanatic Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I'm pumped about going up to Toledo Thursday-Saturday! It's going to be on this week!! Got a club tournament Saturday, sure hoping KKing comes in 2nd! Lol!! I plan on spending a day south and a day around mid lake, then fish Saturday wherever I find fish. Quote
Bugzx250 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Fishing as a guest for a club Tournament Saturday. Cant get up there until Friday afternoon so going blind. Will most likely fish mid lake all day. Will report back Monday with info. Quote
bcody Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 We had a small club tourney on Toledo this weekend. It was a cool 28 degrees when I launched the boat on Saturday in the back of Housen. I caught most of my fish in there all weekend. Like others have said, it looks like they'll explode when the water temps rise a bit. Water temps ranged from 48-53 over the weekend. They were def not shallow yet, but they are getting close! I was able to catch a few on Saturday, including a 6.75. Sunday was a bit tougher for me in the cool rain all day, but I was lucky enough to win our little club deal plus big bass. Quote
drobe Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Thanks fishnla. I'm fishing a tournament on Sunday. I'll be able to practice Friday and Saturday. I am going to check out lowes, Indian mounds, and negreet on Friday. Then hopefully on Saturday try six mile and housen Quote

Hey ***atic, I will take second to you anytime . Bassman9000, these guys on this forum are just about as forthcoming as you will ever find. Even though they may not give out "exact coordinates" the information they do give on areas and techniques will make you study and become a better fisherman. I hope to start adding a little information in the future once I get to trying out some of the places and tactics I have read about. Good luck on your tournament. Quote
Bryanhester Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Headed to the camp this weekend !! I haven't been in a couple on months. Gonna fish the 1215 area and San Miguel area. I just got word of a good report but no details yet !! I'll give more info when I find out. Good luck to all this weekend. Quote
Saltyredneck Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Will be at big bass marina tomorrow around 3pm. I plan on running north to coves around pendleton... how is the water looking in Paulo Gaucho or Slaughter? Would appreciate any help as that could help me decide whether or not to go north vs. south. Big Bass cove is chocolate milk from the marina to the bridge. I never have an issue finding fish... It's me and my 5 year old's first father son trip so any help would that would make things go a little smoother would be appreciated!!! Message me if you don't feel like divulging on the board. Always willing to trade a little info.... I don't BS on here or give false info. I find the forum to be very helpful and if i cant be on the water then someone should enjoy catching fish in my absence. Quote
Bugzx250 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Bass_Fanatic_ just found out we will be fishing same club tourney. Im fishing as a guest so good luck. 1 Quote

LovestoFish Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Started reading this site a couple months ago. I would like to say THANKS SO MUCH for sharing information Catt, Jack, Bass_Fanatic, Wesley, etc. I am going to TB next week and I was wondering if anyone has heard what the water looks like in Patroon? Or Housen? Thank you and Be Safe! Quote
Saltyredneck Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Heading up around 11 fellas... thanks for the info about Slaughter and north. Heard some great reports yesterday down south around 6 mile. 12 ft grass drops... main lake and creeks. Quote
AG12 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Just talked to a friend that's sitting in Palo Gaucho at Alpine ramp. He said the water clarity is very muddy. Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 I'm up here now. Water rose 1ft since yesterday. It is muddy in the back of everything! The only clean water is at the mouths of a few creeks. Fish are hard to get on right now, but when you find em, you can catch some good ones. I had over 20lbs today and my buddy had 2 over 7lbs with me. Saw a 11.5lber caught in the same area too! Tournament in the morning, hoping it holds up. Quote
