Happy birthday Catt!!

I fished from 11-330 today. Had to wait on my boat getting done so I didn't start as early as I would have liked. But I did manage to catch 6 fish, all 2.5-3.5lbs. Caught em on jerk baits fished SLOW and a red trap in 12-15 ft over grass.

Sence we are on a rattle trap subject, have any of yall had sucess with other name brands?

I've caught on spro's brand 1/4 oz. And 1/2oz. Wild shinner.

H 2 0 has some nice color's too.

On Toledo Bend, I've tried numerous colors...........but have done the best with Bill Lewis Rattle Trap in "Chrome Shad" color (silver / blue back scales pattern / orange belly)

Tried a few other brands in the similar color pattern and did almost as well.......but the original Bill Lewis has produced the best.

My guess is this color pattern must be pretty spot on to "match of the hatch" at certain times of the year.

I' use em all. I like the spro, strike king red eye shad, and the excaliber one knockers, but my favorite is the lucky craft Lv. They all work though. Also, I have had best luck with a red/orange color.

I like the rattle trap brand in the gold/black back/orange belly (thanks Catt) and a red/gold 1/2 ounce. I also use the Chrome and blue /orange belly.

As only a casual user of this forum, and only get to come to the Bend 2 or 3 times a year, I appreciate all the up-dates and current info that helps me to catch more fish. God Bless all of you regulars!! A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Belated Happy Birthday Catt and RIP Fishfordollars

I've had a little luck with a red/black vertical lines yozuri. I heard rattle trap cherry bomb was the hot color last year.

Oh I forgot, a friend of a friend caught 10.2# last Saturday before the front. All I know is it was caught around Sandy Creek. I saw a picture of it, sweet.
