Lol The only keeper I had was on top water in fog at grass beds at mouth. Then I flipped rest of day but that didn't work for me neither. Quote

Super User Catt Posted November 26, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 26, 2013 This front will move them out to the next break line & shut down the bite. We'll have to be methodical in our appoach to structure & cover, picking it apart completely. My Top 3 for winter Texas Rigged Craw Worm Jig-N-Craw Rat-L-Trap 1/2 oz Toledo Gold Quote

My Top 3 for winter Texas Rigged Craw Worm Jig-N-Craw Rat-L-Trap 1/2 oz Toledo Gold Thanks Catt The trap, I assume will be worked over grass or where the fish will suspend. What about spoons? I don't fish them often but hear good thinks. Quote
Super User Catt Posted November 26, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 26, 2013 Usually around Christmas the grass will start dying so I'll start keying on timber more. I'll move off the main lake & into creeks starting at mouth. While I'll move off the main lake I DO NOT abandon it! Quote
Bearonthewater Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Catt, Congratulations on another granchild. Staying warm.........staying dry. Getting ready for the big feast. What color craws work best for you this time of the year? Quote

Express Kid Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Black blue jig with yum hawg and a pb&j jig with watermelon red yum craw only caught 4 fish, largest was 3.67 lbs but had a giant get off at the boat. 15fow grass with timber very slow. Had several bites but they are on the jig. This was last Thursday, I plan on going Friday. Will let you know how I do. I did try crank bait and spinnerbaits nothing hit. Quote

Super User Catt Posted November 27, 2013 Author Super User Posted November 27, 2013 Craw worms are Gene Larew 6", Rage Tail Lobster 4 1/2" & NetBait Paca Craw 5". I will go from a Oldham's jig to a Bitsy Bug Flip & a Zoom Swiming Chunk 3". I make this change mainly for a slower rate of fall. Quote
