My neighbor has the livescope. It is a cool peice of tech, he used it when we were at blue lake, it's not far me.

While I do have the mega down imaging graph in my boat. It's my personal ethics that is as far as electronic fish finding tech will go for me.

It may sound strange. But I had to train myself to turn off the graph, once I found the fish.

I keep catching myself just endlessly messing with boat postion and staring at the graph, instead of putting my head down and constrating on working the technique and finding the bite.

This is with my mega down imaging graph, in my boat. That's when I knew. This is as far as I go with the tech.

not strange at all. When you can see them on the screen and you know they are just right there it’s addictive to fish while you watch instead of focusing on the bait itself. I find myself doing it at times with mega live. I generally don’t use it to video fish. For the most part I use it to find the grass lines and cover around me. It’s also really useful for understanding where your bait is running in the water. Throwing a 1/2 oz original chatterbait I could see it was only running at 4’ on a normal retrieve. Swapped for a 1/2 oz tremor the same retrieve was down around 8’ where I’d expect it. It was a good learning.

A 12.92# was caught the weekend of the 9th along with 6 other double digits.

On a chartreuse and white spinnerbait tossed on a whim. That is just too awesome

Saw a lot of carp doing their April thing on the banks of the south state park today. Also a ton of bluegill and small bass. Got chased a ton but only the one small spotted bass. Interesting how much the water clarity changes there between the boat ramp and the visitor center areas. Saw an Allison trailer and had to stop to admire.

Saw lots of bait and lost a huge crappie at hickory hill ramp

Missed a massive topwater strike along the ripraps and submerged boulders at Sam Forse west end past the cones near the ramp

Current below dam was too much for what I had handy.

Pleasure point park saw some blowups but nothing that would chase. Was exhausted by this point so I left

@thediscochef Toledo Bend at it's finest!

Mill Creek was the place to be, as was the 1215 area.

I definitely left feeling like I would have done better slightly north. I think the south state park area is in that weird lull between bass spawn and shad spawn, I saw some evidence that shads were spawning on the rocks near the dam. One of these days I'll do better there than I have

@thediscochef I have a love/hate relationship with Toledo Bend!

I love how each area fishes different.

When it's on, Toledo Bend can be the #1 lake in America but it ain't on it'll leave you scratching your head!

The accuracy of this analysis is real! Haven't left there without scratching my head yet, I only have so much hair left so I need to figure it out 😂

It gives me an appreciation for how small Roberts is and how little time it took to somewhat figure out a few spots
