@CRosh How y'all are?

If you haven't made reservations yet I would suggest looking at San Miguel - #7A.

As for fishing that area @A5BLASTER would be the man & he probably could answer your RV questions.

Good morning Catt,

Good over here.  I've actually already made reservations.  I wasn't totally aware of RV camping at Sam Miguel.  Is there a reason you suggest this park over North TB State Park?  I can see about cancelling if needed.

Good morning to all!  I've finally read the entire thread over the last several months.  I want to thank all for making this an enjoyable read.  It has peaked my interest even more for the big pond!  We are taking my dad for a long weekend the dates of June 10th-13th.  Coming from Pineville, LA and staying at the North Toledo Bend State Park.  He hasn't been on TB in many years.  He's getting up in age, so my brother and I wanted to take him camping and fishing.  We will be chasing mainly bass, and I guess fishing close around the 1215/Blue Lake area.  He's a top water and T-rig guy, so we'll try and find some grass and wood and brush to target.  Any suggestions will be gladly accepted and appreciated?

On a separate note, My camper trailer generally sits at house during the spring and summer months and only gets used during hunting season.  After reading through this thread, I think for next year I would like to park it somewhere on the lake for several months and get some use out of it during the year besides just hunting season.  Does anyone have any recommendations for a good safe area with full hookups?

Thanks....Chris

Check Gracies landing. It's just before north Toledo bend park and I think they do long term slots.

Edit to add.

Catt is right San miguel would be a good place to call as well. Its located between Gracie's and North Toledo Bend park on the san miguel finger.

Blaster,

Would Gracie's Landing have a different name?  I just googled it and nothing comes up.

No its gracies landing.

Not sure if they are still in buisness for camping really. I just use their boat ramp whenever it's to wet for me to put my boat in, in the back yard.

Honestly San Miguel or Toledo bend park would be the better choice but the time frame for yall coming up you can expect wherever yall go to probably be packed with people camping. So book your spots early dont wait.

Intrasante lol

I would put my money on watermelon red flake.

If you can find Ringworms no matter who makes em they'll work...atleast for me!

The first bass I caught on Toledo Bend was on a Ringworm & the first 15 bass limit I caught on Toledo Bend was on Ringworms.

50 years later I'm still catching em on Ringworms.

Cinnamon Pepper Neon Junebug Laminate = Camouflage

That has produced year round both day & night.

It really doesnt seem to matter for me what size and shape the lure is but watermelon red seems to work day in and day out.

Now some colors do work better some days, but watermelon red just seems to work every day, for me anyways.

I'm a huge baby brush hog fan and I love the garlic chartreuse as well but they have been really liking the blue lately.

I agree with all three of these colors plus watermelon red magic. Watermelon seed flukes with chartreuse tails on a Carolina rig is always on my deck too.

How's the bite on the big pond?  I haven't been there since I sold the place a couple of years ago.  Might make a trip in the next couple of weeks.
