We have been from six mile up to San Patricio.  The lizard has been on a light weighted Carolina rig and the senko has been weightless.  Best colors seem to be something not too flashy.  Regular ol watermelon seed and green pumpkin. 2 Quote
operationgrass Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Went last week me and the best friend boated 100 or so bass in 2 afternoons. All on black and blue Sinkos and frogs. 3 Quote

Clinton john Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Need info for a boat ramp on negreet bay. Â I see shadows and turtle beach listed as on that section of lake but not sure if they have a boat ramp. Â Any public no pay rmaps on that lake section? Â Looking to put in on negreet bay, so not so much boat running in a section of lake I'm not familiar with. Quote

The road to turtle beach is terrible 1 Quote

JMW Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Made our annual trip to the bend this past weekend, had a great trip fishing was great and the weather cooperated nicely. There was 6 of us that fished Thursday evening thru Saturday, we had a total of 60 that we kept with a mix of large mouth and Kentucky the largest probably around 4lbs. We stayed in negret and fished mostly in Lanan. 1 Quote
operationgrass Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 I is at work lol. Y’all been catching? 1 Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 30, 2021 Author Super User Posted March 30, 2021 Spent 4 days on the Big Pond, it was both good & bad. Found a great place to stay thanks to @riverrat, he rented his camp in 6-Mile. The place was amazing, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, will sleep at least 10.  Fishing was a struggle, didn't get in the water till later Saturday. Caught 3 & missed 2 absolute Hawg. Sunday brought a cold front with 20 mph winds, ended with 6 right before dard. Monday was better with 10 in about 1 1/2 before dark. 10 more this morning in about 2 hours.  The biggest pattern was fish out near the mouth of coves.  #1 lure Watermelon Neon Lizards with the tail dipped, Texas Rigged 3/16 ounce. 4 Quote

Clinton john Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Just got off the water. Been out since just before daylight. Â Found a few groups out in 18 to 22 foot of water. Â Did the best on a Crigged watermelon red monster lizard that I make myself. Â Few fell too a crack bait. Nothing to get excited about, mostly post spawn fish looking raggedy and slim. Â It's that time of year already. 1 Quote
river-rat Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 I had a decent day in Six Mile Creek. Started at daylight and the fish were all over a jerkbait. I was throwing a #450 A.C. Shiner and a Redfin both gold with black back/orange belly. Also caught fish on a watermelon/red glitter lizard Texas rigged. I had nine 14" fish by 10:45 and at least that many short fish. Nothing of any great size.  Later in the morning I caught one over 4#'s on a Berkley Choppo.  Around noon the sky's cleared and it got tough. But no complaints. I'll be here until next Saturday and will hopefully have some good reports.   2 Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 We have started to see a small Shad spawn and are catching quality fish on frogs and chatterbaits around them.  We are also finding post spawn fish in 18-23’ on the main lake and catching some decent fish out there on crankbaits and swimbaits.  I also caught a giant off my dock before putting my boat in the water Monday lol.  It was dark and I was in a hurry to pick up clients so didn’t get a weight but she was pushing DD 2 Quote
