Every fish I caught and most of what the others said were males. Every fish was pale white.

I caught them shallow on a chatterbait frog and worm

Just came up from deep water.

What y'all know about 6-Mile Marina, specify their rooms/cabins?

Nice people and good food. Nice clean store. Never stayed in a cabin so not sure about that but I’d bet my camper that they’re nicer than Alpine ?

Nothing against Alpine cause I stayed there plenty. Can’t beat it for the price ?

Ok does the big pond have lamprey in it?

I caught this bass just a few mints ago and while getting it landed. I seen what I thought was a second bass next to it.

Well I get it on the bank and there is this very very nasty looking and rotting smelling wound on the fish. The wound is almost perfectly circular.

Catt,

We stayed at 6 Mile Marina last year for a few days while there was some work being done on our camp. I've got nothing but nice things to say. We stayed in a trailer right next to the landing and found it very nice. Also the owner's are great people and very accommodating.

My only "complaint" was there is no dock to tie up a boat. You will have to beach the boat at the landing.  But this was not really a problem.

When are you planning on going? Our camp is only about 300 yards from the marina.

Not going to say I hammered them today....... Ok  I hammered them today.

Got my 8 keepers for a fresh bass fry tonight and put back 21 others. Mix of dinks and a few 2 to 3 pounders.

Watermelon red flake kvd swimbait on owner flasher spinner hook. Everything holding on wood in 1 to 3 foot of water backs of coves.

Wind had the shad pushed up hard in the backs of coves and they were active bug time today.

Went out and found 19 today, should have landed way way more but the wind was blowing so hard I had a ton of trouble feeling the bite.

Midday and the water temp hit 62 degrees, so I slipped into my fav cove and start throwing the swimbait, frog and spinnerbait.

Found 6 nice keepers.

Swimbait= kvd in watermelon red flake, 4 inch on a owner flasher spinner hook.

Black and red flake baby ribbet.

Booyah 3/8 once white and silver sparkle with a twin tail chartreuse trailer that I make myself.

Water is slowly rising, we are almost too 170 pool level, next few days should really fire them off after this north wind stops and the water temp starts to stablize in the 60+ degree area.

Had to edit. Some how posted the wrong pic the first time.

Don't know how I missed your post!

I'm going up on the 27-30 & booked at Fin-n-Feather but all the had was a hotel room. The room is supposed to sleep 4 but only has 2 full size beds. Was looking for something a tad bit bigger.

Well pattern is holding strong.

1 to 2 foot of water holding tight too wood.

Kvd watermelon red swimbait on a owner flasher spinner hook.

Numbers went down but the size went up. Should have had my 8 keepers, but had several jump off and 2 very nice bass break me off.

But at the end of the day 6 more took a boat ride home for a fish fry lol.

The big girls are hitting the bank boys.

All these are 4 lbs plus and came from 6 inches to 1 1/2 foot of water.

White and chartreuse baby ribbet and ghost shad colored swimbait.

So the big pond gave up two 7 plus pounders today.

Scale said 7 lbs 9 onces and 7 lbs 11 onces. Crappy pics sorry bout that.

Also got my 8 keepers as well. Most of the bits came on a watermelon red 4 inch swimbait and the rest came on a black and red flake baby ribbet.

Everything is super shallow and holding tight to whatever wood they can get on.

So those on here that use the mega down imaging units.

Are these bass or white perch?

I have several spots like this that always have fish on them. But I simply cnat get them to bite. And starting to wonder if they are white perch and not bass.

Oh and 8 more took a boat ride home with me today. All were caught on a black and red flake baby ribbet.

We have been smashing them in the dirt in lizards, senkos, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and frogs.  Now is the time to be in the lake!

What part of the lake, we aren't having much luck shallow on the south end. Caught a few nice ones in 6-8ft this evening

Like this kind of frog lol

Already spawned put. Anybody want to take a question at the weight?

This is the fifth bass off the same bed behind a certain stump in less then 2 weeks.

@Bass_Fanatic Couple questions

Lizards: Texas Rigged, what weight size?

Senko: weightless?

Colors?
