The water needs to level off, raising water is difficult fishing.

SRA is running generators.

Date/Time: 2/17/2020 10:00 AM
Lake Level: 169.03 MSL
Current Flow: 13371.00 CFS
Generator 1: Running 24hrs.
Generator 2: Running 24hrs.
Spillway Gates: Closed

Catt is spot on as always.

Rising water blows.

Stable water is good

Falling water y'all better not be between me and my boat because I'm going throw you lmao.

Thats discouraging!  I am really hoping for a shallower bite. Im not the best fisherman when it comes to deeper water. I do love fishing timber though and there seems to be plenty of it..........lol

What part of the lake will you be staying at? I cAn help point you in the right direction if you’d like

We will be staying at the Holly Park Marina. My buddy also mentioned trailering to Blue Lake Launch a few times if the lake levels will allow it

If y’all are going to up that way I’d stay in 8’ or less. Lots of wood cover to fish up there!

Lake level is good for putting a boat in at blue lake/1215 ramp it just hasn't come up enough to reach the buck brush yet.

It's a complete binder with waypoints.....what each waypoint is......and how to fish it.......and what to throw. They are very pricey ($300).....but a buddy of mine knows a pro who let him copy it. I've been marking my maps and putting waypoints in electronics. Just wasn't sure if anyone else has used it.

@Scot Ferguson Those came out in 2006, I have not personally used one. If you compare the way points to Hook-N-Line map they should be almost the same. Guides Bill Gilbert, Bob Hauser, Gary Newell, & Bill Fox helped put the Hook-N-Line together. Tommy Martin did a chip for your electronics with many of the same waypoints.

@JMW Yes that's a very good pre-spawn/spawn area, I have some actively checking that area. It's slow right now but changing daily.

Y'all welcome

That should have read "someone", sometimes the fingers are faster than the brain!

Where y'all staying?

I'm booked at Fin-n-Feather March 16-20; my plan doesn't include running that far north but plans are subject to change.

We will be staying in the negret area, i am looking for areas that i can trailer to because, my boat isn't big enough to run the lake unless it is calm.

I've checked around quite extensively and can't come up with one of the Tommy Martin chips. Anyone have a lead on one?

Holly park is towards the back of Patroon.  I fish the front third mostly.

Contact his son, Brian Martin. He still sells the chips.

I'll be in a 19' Champion & will still probably trailer. The truck gets better mpg than a 200 merc.
