Keith’s tackle put on a tournament. Took 29.94lbs to win.  Also had a another 20lb bag and a few 17-20lb bags.

I fished a throw together tournament and had 4 fish for 9 lbs and won 2nd.  1st was 16lbs.  I had not been to the lake since football season started and figure how hard could it be to catch 5 fish?  Pretty tough! On me at least.

Well I can finally start fishing again. Last turnaround for 4 years and no more moving houses Thank god. I love reading about all the successes and struggles. Hopefully I can catch a few in the next few years. Anyone need a fishing buddy? My boat stays in lufkin.

Nice shots...might be some bluegill or crappy in there for additional bait. With that much Shad better use something to contrast. What type of head unit are you using?

HDS 9 Carbon w/3D module and transducer. At one point I belly hooked a 12" threadfin shad....

That might be them on the right in the following image. Those seem to be mighty big, can almost make out the body shape, some kinna bait fish.

Nice images. Does anybody know if launching at Jack’s 944 is possible at the current lake level?

Have you tried turning off fishreveal.  I always thought it just got in the way.  I see fish better without it.

Jack's should be fine, they rebuilt it when it was lower than this.

Big bait big Bass. Yeah that looks like some big bait to the right. Did you have any luck when you through a line there?  DougW how do you like the performance of the carbon units? I'm considering upgrading my Gen2 to carbon.

Yes.... Recently made the comment on another site that I've come to believe that the Fish Reveal feature is little more than yesteryears Fish ID. I was told to dial back the sensitivity and try again - which I will do next month. But for now I have more faith in what I see without fish reveal than what I do with.

I haven't had much luck at all.... Spots all ov'a the place good size large mouth are hard for me to come by.

My last units were Gen 2T's. It took some doing to get where I am with image quality. Finally got Lowrance to replace the 3D module and transducer and in the process also completely re-wired my electronics set up to be isolated on a 6 slot Blue Sea fuse box. Did a lot of other stuff as well and in the end - you can see the results for yourself. I got soooooo pizzzzzed off at Lowrance was going to Garmin. Then researched Garmin offerings at the time and was a bit less than impressed so I stayed where I was. I would rather have my Carbon/3D setup than todays current Live offering.

Welp, I went to Six Mile to run the boat straight outa Carlson’s. They fixed it. Ran like a scalded dog. Collapsed fuel line was what it was. I fished for about 2 hours and caught 4 on a DT6 following creek channels. Tried about everything else known to man but that’s all she wrote. Now, off to duck season ?

I almost went to HB. I'm curious about the 360. I'm finding fish with my Gen2T, but those carbon's look sweet. Regarding the Fish reveal... looks like it make the fish pop off the screen. Easier to to find. So I thought anyway. Reading up the post some say it's easier for them to find fish without it.

The deal is that with FR you see fish everywhere you go. Can't seem to figure out species very easily. I may miss some fish using downscan but when I do see them I have a real good clue as to if they're bass or not by the way they're positioned. I'll be back on the lake in December and I'm gonna tweak the 2D settings and the FR settings to see if I can get better returns or more reliable returns. I'll get sum'mo screen captures to post as well.

Good deal ?. I fish more structure than rely on my electronics. Even if I don't see fish I'll still fish an area if the structure looks good.

Figured that was you in front my house this morning in that ranger.

Whoever it was must have them figured out, dude was laying it to them with what looked like a swimbait, right inside the first swing of the creek off the main creek channel infront my house.

I went to my sisters house fer Thanksgiving. My brother-in-law and nephew are part of the company that provide security for SRA facilities down by the dam. What they said wuz... "The rip-rap work has been completed. They are still pouring concrete in the spillway. All the work that required low water has been completed."

I can only assume SRA is keeping the water down to ensure they have a place to put water should we get a storm before the concrete work is completed at the spillway.

I'm actually liking the water the way it is. Was on the lake at the end of October and thought it fished well. BASS open series has already cancelled a tournament there which was in January. No sure why they'd do that. The lake is still safe to navigate. It'll be an interesting spawn with the lake this low.
