Guys, if you are looking for something to do this Saturday come check out CenLas Blessing of the Hunt at Longview Baptist Church in Deville, La. Will not cost you a penny and you will leave full of good food and with some great prizes. Guns, deer stands, crossbows, game cameras, etc. ALl for free!

Wish I could go but fresh cut open knee today, I just can't take that ride. Please pray for me.

Anybody got a uodate?

Me and my best bud tryed off the back late yesterday evening but got nothing.

Hope we get some good, informative updates after this weekend. Sounds like a lot of y’all will be on the Bend. Fishing has to be getting better because it can’t get much worse from what I’m hearing.

All I'm hearing is a lot of moaning and groaning too. Maybe the next few weeks things will pick up.?

Anyone have any info on day 1 of the BFL.  Not really interested in top weight, somebody will catch them.  More interested in 10-20th place to see whats going on.  Heard a couple of encouraging reports from the end of the week from neighbors up there.  Nothing outstanding but a whole lot better than last month.  Hope they have a good tournament.

Saturday morning there was quite a few boats heading north while I fished patroon.  On Sunday there was only 2.  I can bet one of them was Freeman.

Proud to find out my friend Craig Lewis won it all and took home the Big Bass trophy!!!

Excuse me! That's co-angler!

But 20-3 for 7 bass is awesome!

What I heard from Darold Gleason the deep water bite was there.

If I were going up this weekend I would probably look for structure in 15' shallower.

I believe the lake is slowly turning towards fall, at 168' I would look long & hard at the mouths of creeks. Not just the mouths of major creeks & the main lake but the mouths of creeks off the major creeks.

But that's just me  ?

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh T ain't you knowing taint bout 4 bass let in the end's lmao.

Me and dad found a good number of fish in the blue lake boat launch area this morning.

No real size just good legal eaters.

Dad drug me out said I looked like a butt whopped dog after my knee surgery last tuesday.

White and chartreuse baby ribbet, kvd 4 inch swimbait on owner flashy swimmer hook and bandit 100 pearl and black back crank.

With a few on the crome and black back 1/4onze trap.

Hope this helps fellas.

Now I'm going lay down and eat a pain pill and ice the knee down see y'all next week lmao.

That helps Blaster! Blue Lake is about the only place north of Pendleton where I’ve found any grass this year. What depth were y’all fishing?

From 2 foot to probably close to 12.

Sitting out deeper casting to the shallow water, most the swimbait bites were probably in the 5 to 7 area, crack and trap at the deepest end and the frog bites were right on the grass edge's.

We landed 23 out of like 30 or 32 bites, it was a learning curve to get a good hook set with the knee like it is, couldn't seem to drive the hooks home the way I like too.

@A5BLASTER good to hear ya up & moving ?

Thanks Catt.

The up and moving didn't last to long had to take a pain pill and put the cold theropy machine to work and stayed in bed the rest of the day due to it hurting so bad.

But it's feeling better today, so I may limp my big self out to the box blind this evening.

Y'all be safe out there and leave a few for me this up coming spawn.
