That is also true.

I fished yesterday and it felt like I was fishing on the sun it was so hot.

Wasn't too bad where I was, but I had a 20 mile an hour wind blowing on me too.

Talk about hard to run a trolling motor plus fish in that with only one good leg.

But it was fun.

Lil update for the members.

Same baits as my last update.

Same water depth as my last update.

From just before sunrise till 1100 today landed 62, had probably 20+ throw the hooks.

Keep 5 14-15 inch fish for a fry this weekend.

Most bass coming in at 10-13 3/4 inches.

Did catch 3 that were skinny and sick looking but were 17-18 inches long.

Now it's time for a nap and then work on the outboard, won't plane the boat out for some reason.

Hope this helps somebody get on some fish.

This is my 6th week on nights. I should be at the lake next weekend and will report. You will not see me fishing during daylight too hot. Plus there is a full moon on the 28th.

Yea I know and I will have to miss it.

Doctor put me on bed rest till they get the blood clot out my leg, that somehow got missed when they first checked early last month when I blow my knee out.

Looks like fishing is done for me for a few weeks, and work is done for the rest of the year.

That's not good. I hope you get well soon. If the doctor releases you from bed rest message me and I will take you fishing.

Finally got a day back on Toledo today.  Ive been on Rayburn the past couple of weeks.  We started the morning mid lake and found tons of shad and fish in 18-22’ on ledges.  The man I had with me was just trying to learn how to find fish so we idled for the first 6 hours without fishing.  With what we saw this morning, I’m confident we could have had “one of them days”.  The fish were positioned right and were feeding on lots of shad, and big ones too!  I checked a brush pile just to show him what white perch looked like and underneath the perche were a dozen huge bass.  Once again, we didn’t cast at them, we just kept looking.  Finally at noon we decided to fish for a bit before heading in.  We headed back to that pile and the perch were still in there by the hundreds, but only a couple of big bass.  First cast I missed a good one.  Second cast I caught a 4lber and about 5 min later I caught a 6.5lber with a few small fish mixed in.  We then called it a day.  There were more active fish today than Ive seen in awhile.  Looks to be shaping up well.

Using the advise in the almost 300 pages here, I fished dorcheat.  I have always fished cypress trees, shallow and deep, and never open water.  Not quite bank beating but still narrow minded on my part.  Wow,  putted around and marked humps, usually 17 or so to 7 feet.  I caught 18 bass with most around 3-4lbs.  Not monsters but fun to fight.  It is almost like cheating when you mark fish that you know are there instead of just tree smacking for miles on end.  When the shad balls start dancing, I threw tx rig under them and it was awesome.  If I fished higher, next to shad, I only caught small ones.
