Nice report June Bug. Looks like you had a good time. I'm also headed up Thursday evening for a week. Looks like the temps will be conducive to getting rid of the pile of limbs/branches that have fallen. Hope the front just fires them up!

Good luck mguidroz.

Wow, that takes a sorry POS to do that. Thanks for the heads up. Is that the launch at the bridge by Carlson's marine?

Posted

It sure does. I'm there every weekend. I'd hate to fight right now but I will lol. The landing by the bridge on the south bank of Six Mile creek. Not too far from Carlson's. Here's my shabby report for last weekend: Caught 9 Saturday on a frog shallow by the hardest. Sunday had one choupique until I got saved by some schooling fish. Caught 8 on a spook in an hour. Tried every bait known to man from 6" to 24'.  One day I hope to see my screen look like June-bug's. Back at it this weekend...good luck to all.

Yeah i heard of at least three trucks had holes drilled in their gas tanks last weekend at the six mile ramp by the bridge in broad day light. That is just sad man. Thieves like that are the scum of the earth. Makes you think about going park places like Indian Mounds that are more secluded. just a matter of time before they start hitting trucks there as well if they haven't already. I hope they get caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They probably be lucky if they do because if they keep it up and run across the wrong person one day they liable to catch a bullet.

Thanks for the report LF. Good luck also.

Thanks mguidroz.

Catch a bullet or get whipped by a little crippled back Cajun dude lol It would be easy to hide in the woods there and watch for em too!

I'm glad now I didn't do much Friday afternoon.  I would have been at Six Mile Saturday for sure.  I left early Saturday to bring the boat back home to get it ready to sell.

Little Fish, If you see a white basscat with 2 red power poles flag me down. I'm in Six Mile almost every weekend when the fishing is good.

Yes Sir. I've been watching for you about a year since I put my camper at Twin Oaks. One day I'll see you but now you're selling it?  Hope you're getting another one.

Good deal. I'm in a black Lowe with two black power poles.  Old black Toyota Tacoma.

Little Fish, I will be at 6-mile Friday afternoon and Sat. If you see a blue and white Phoenix give me a shout and I will do the same. Good luck.

I'm here, I'm struggling...

We caught a few in 25' yesterday that we found on the graph by accident, caught a couple shallow but it's been sloooooow.

Not a single bite yet today

I am new to the forum, been watching for a while, a big thanks to everyone on here with all of the helpful posts.

I will attempt to contribute but as my name indicates, I am a busy guy with kids in ball but I will be at the bend next week to give it a try.  I usually go in the spring and fall, 2 trips each year for now. I'm from down south so usually more of a bank beater but trying to get out of that mode for this trip at least some.  Plan to start shallow then move off and fish Housen, Lowes, indian mounds and maybe 6 mile areas.

Just wanted to say hello and thanks.

That's fishing.  The bite can turn on at any time.

Good luck in the BFLs next year Shane.  I'm debating on fishing them or the Ram series.

It was kinda tough for me too. Had to leave the shallows lol. Saturday caught 5 in Six Mile on a red bug worm (10'+) and 1 on a square bill in a foot. I think they bit better in the afternoon but I had enough. Met Guidroz. Cool dude.

Sunday, finally went check out Mill Creek. Fished from daylight until 4. Hard headed and fished shallow again 1 on a square bill then caught 12 under boat docks on shakey head and Texas rigged red bug trick worm 8' and deeper.

Back again this weekend. Good luck to all.

Thank you Little Fish and same here. My son and fish Housen and 6-mile 4:30pm to dark Friday. We only caught 5 with one being a keeper. Saturday we fished 6-mile from 9:30am to 2:00pm and caught 15 with 7 keepers. All fish caught on TR baby brush hog (green pumpkin) and watermelon red 7" thumper worm in 8' to 12' FOW. We fished secondary points in the back 1/3 of creeks.

Friday can't get here quick enough.  I'll be somewhere around six mile, housen or mill come Saturday morning.
