Super User Catt Posted December 14, 2013 Author Super User Posted December 14, 2013 Catt will this be a individual or team gathering? IDK! Maybe a draw! Quote

Super User Catt Posted December 14, 2013 Author Super User Posted December 14, 2013 I love team fishing but here are the Rules 1. Both anglers must catch 2 bass each & then it doesn't matter who catches #5 Quote
Express Kid Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I would love to put a face with all of the names. Quote
Express Kid Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Dam yankee you are more than just lucky you can catch fish from what I've seen. Have you ever fished Cleco lake? I'm headed over there today to try the warm water. I hear they should be in pre spawn. Quote

I had heard you have to have permission to fish it. Don't know if that is true or not. So I never looked into it further. Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Cleo lake was the best lake in the state in the 90's IMO. There is a 14-17" slot and it was nothing to catch 50 fish a day with your top 5 going 25lbs. They put carp in there around 2000 and it hasn't been the same. The fish are still there I guess, but it only takes 6-7lbs to win a tx out there now. Sad really. Quote

You must be a Cleo employee or with an employee to fish it. I don't really call that fishing tho, it's catching! My dad has a 12.8lber on his wall from that pond. There are dd bass caught there nearly everyday in the spring and it's only a few hundred acres big. I've fished it a few times, never caught a dd, but my buddy did one day and we caught numerous 5-9lb fish. Plus when the bass slow down, I've caught 3lb white perch on dd22s by the dam! Quote
