back water Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 shaneus: You are getting hooked on T.B. now aren't you?? Have you fished Raburn lately?? We have a 10 boat club tournament on Raburn Sept. 21 and 22. I bet it is difficult standing up on that ladder, looking out at the water and wondering if those big bass are still there. LOL Ya'll have a great holiday weekend. Backwater Quote

Backwater  yeah toledo bend is much closer to fish now i have 25 spots to 1 rayburn to toledo though.....need to spend as much time on the bend as i have on rayburn, hey back water, find a flat with the original river channel bend right next to it, monsters are there too.......caught the same size fish as here on toledo bend, but had to be alot more sneaky about it, too many pot lickers on rayburn, same jig and color only heavier and football headed..... shaneus Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 How can anyone not get hooked on the Big Pond! Shaneus you remind me of Jack (fishfordollars) Yates! We gonna have to hookup  I'm ready for that Catt, I'm always ready to learn on the water...I know many have read through the forum, and keep Jack in their thoughts as they read through, I know I do. Without you guys this thread wouldn't be still going. I appreciate all yall have done, and wish the people who just read would post and add to the forum......just so you know Catt I'm 27 and I'm a little highstrung lol and I fish out of a 18.5 triton, I know your older and wiser........we need to go fishing soon so i can show the teacher my prized fish before they disappear and I have to start over 1 Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 31, 2013 Author Super User Posted August 31, 2013 I don't know what high strung means & don't care! You remind me of Jack because he knew Rayburn but Toledo kicked his rear. Heck he knew Rayburn, Conroe, Livingston, & Fork. We had planned on fishing tournaments together starting the month he died. Miss that boy 2 Quote

ATX Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Hey guys... i made it up to the Big Pond this past Wednesday and while i mostly worked on the camp, i did get in two hours on the water. My first few spots were a bust but the moss sure did look good... Then i got smart and pulled out my i phone and after about 5 min of reading updates from Catt and the rest of you guys i decided to fish a little deeper. in about 20 min i landed three bass from 4lbs to 4 1/2lbs! I was fishing by ski cove on the south end of the lake on a nice ledge that drops from 10 to 30 then from 30 to 50 fow with a few laydowns across it. I was tossing a 3/4oz jig. Two picked it up after i popped it a few times on a log and the other grabbed it on the fall. Best of luck to yall and please get with me if anybody needs a boat seat out on the water. Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 2, 2013 Author Super User Posted September 2, 2013 Sweet ATX! Y'all be safe out there Quote
