bit-little Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Does anyone have any current patterns and or locations of the lake to find fish on OH Ivie? We will be there Wednesday for the day. I had planned a trip to Amistad from today through Wednesday but the winds are forecasted for 20-30 and that doesn't sound like fun. I am half way between both lakes and thought I would try this forum for info. for a last second change. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone have a good route to take from Junction? Thanks for the help!! Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted June 16, 2010 Super User Posted June 16, 2010 There are some deep humps main lake towards the dam. Summer pattern should be full swing. I love big worms for summer months in Texas. Gene Larew Plum has always been very good in the afternoons, an old worm that don't get used there is the old Mister Twister purple fire tails, give those a try on wind blown points. Deep humps is were alot of the double digits come from. Dad coached at Miles TX, not far from the Colorado and Concho rivers that join at Ivie. First trip to Ivie after coming home to Texas was tough first half day until I went to the purple firetails, been back twice since, and Mr. Twister still works and so did the Plum color in a variety of brands. From Junction, I think heading to Menard, Eden on 83, about 50 miles, then in Eden heading down 87 south towards Brady you'll see the signs where to turn off to Ivie on 87. I hauled thousands of goats from the Junction sale barn were you turn for the Eden hwy US83. Good luck, there still some 13+ being reported lately. Quote
