I want to use a jig more this year, but the pond I fish most of the time has a very mucky type bottom and loads of hydrilla.  There are very few places on it that have a rocky bottom.

Is there any jig that might work better for this application?

Thanks in Advance!

If you are fishing out of a boat I would use a heavy jig like 3/4 ounce or more to punch through the weeds to get down to the bottom. If your fishing off of the bank, I would use a lighter weight like a 1/4 ounce or a 1/8 ounce and swim it back across the tops of the weeds.
