Hey everyone. I will be fishing LOZ here in about a week and a half. Any advice on what is working well and types of habitat they will be on? I have a jerkbait, a crankbait, a shaky head, a jig, and a drop shot rigged up and was planning on hitting main points where the channel runs close and secondary points where creeks come in. Launching from P.B. 2 in the Glaize. Should I stick around that area or maybe head towards the Gravois of dam area? Any help is appreciated. PM if you have specific advice. Thanks and sorry for all the questions

Edit: Also, does anyone know where I can find a good lake depth map? Thanks again.

I was up there last weekend. I didn't get a bite in the gavouis arm. But there was a jerk bait only tournament weighing in, as I was taking out. They were catching fish in 20' of water with brush. They let the bait set over the brush a loooooong time. Read the same thing on a pro-am report. good luck.

Going to be on the gravois arm this weekend. I'm planning on using jerk baits and may be some finesse jigs. With the rain this week, I'll be looking for some clear water. My personal opinion is this time of year at LOZ is the Jerk Bait bite. I usually stay with the Jerk Bait and keep moving until I find fish.

Thanks guys.  I've been hearing quite a bit about the jerkbait bite so I'll plan on targeting that.

Structure Graphics makes the best map I've found for LOZ. A lot of the local tackle shops will carry them or you can buy over the phone and have it mailed to you.  The maps are broken into sections so make sure you get the right one for the area you are going to fish.  The phone number is (636) 225-3453.  They are based in Valley Park, MO.
