Koop Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Depends... what tournament are you fishing? Quote

Koop Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 You have access to all bodies of water on the chain? I would recommend you start out on Monona, work the inner weed line with a Pop-r early morning. (This has been a great bite for the past week), once that slows you could throw a shallow jerk bait or c-rig. Might be worth locking into Mendota as well if the bite is real slow on Monona, Mendota is always good for a 3-4# browny. Just remember bag limit is 1 on Mendota. The points always produce, and the rock pile on Monona has also been a great place to throw a drop shot. toss me a PM when it gets a bit closer to your tourny. Quote
BLUESKY Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Koop, Thanks for the info, Mendota is going to be off limits. I will send a pm on Wed or Thur. I will be headding up sometime on Friday depending on what time my nonboater is able to leave. One of My main concerns is the weather change and what that will do to the bite you have described. BLUESKY Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 The forcast here is for uppr 50's low 60's with showrs on Sat and cloudy on Sun, looks like 'll pack the L.J.'s and rain suit. Is the forecast the same for the Madison area this weekend? Quote
Koop Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 59 and rain all day saturday. Sunday partly cloudy chance of rain. Quote
Koop Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I got out this morning, they weren't touching top waters. Rippin jerk baits over grass beds and spinnerbaits through the grasses, as well as slow crawling jigs seemed to be the ticket. All in 6-10fow. Quote
BLUESKY Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 picked up some solid 2-3 lbers from the pillings of the rte 51 bridge with a black & blue jig with a black blue baby paca craw trailer. Quote
Koop Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Glad I could be of some help. I was thinking about it that weekend, poored rain all weekend. The bite has been backwards here lately from what it normally is. Quote
