Greg Harris Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I'm in Kearney. It's a suberb of KC. I fish a lot of farm ponds in Clay and Caldwell county. Quote
harshman Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I live near Troy, MO. My wife and I usually fish Mark Twain and Lake of the Ozarks. But every chance we get were fishing somebody's farm pond, down side is we usually have to travel quite a ways to the ponds we have permission to fish. If anybody in my area has a pond to fish, my gas tank would greatly appreciate it. I practice catch and release only. Unless you are wanting a mess of crappie for supper then that is a different story Quote
Papa_Tom Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I live in Chaffee---SouthEast Mo. Â I fish small locals and a private regularly (3-6 times weekly). Â My other days I like going to Kinkaid in Ill, or Kentucky Lake. Â Try to get in at least one trip per week to them. Â Quote

RandySBreth Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I don't know how I missed this thread! I live in Ozark, right by the square and the park on the Finley River. Fish Table Rock, all the smallmouth streams, sometimes Stockton, and go to Beaver in Arkansas quite a bit. Need to fish Bull Shoals more, one of my goals this year. Quote
Gorgebassman Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I live in Myrtle live about 45 mins from Norfork lake I fish there and Bull Shoals often as I can get down to Table Rock as well. Ahhhh Heck I fish anywhere I can and as often as I can. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I'm a transplant to Cape Girardeau, MO. I mostly fish Southern Illinois lakes (Cedar, Little Grassy, Devil's Kitchen) and some local farm ponds. In 2007 my goal is try out some of the smaller rivers around here. I don't really know where to start, but I've got plenty of time to research. Â If the water's not crunchy, I'm willing to fish. Quote
Shakes Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 WoW. It appears I'm the only angler on this board from the Capitol of the MO. I hail from Jefferson City. Quote
bigfinger Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Hello everyone in Missouri. Â This is my first post on this forum so I haven't even posted a profile as of yet. First of all I am living in Clinton, Mo, the county seat of Henry County. Â The Grand River branch of Truman lake ends here at Clinton and it has been several years since I fished Truman. Â I have been told by people on other forums that I don't know Jack about Bass fishing, and that is true to one extent. Â I don't own a boat, I fish in ponds not the lake. Â I really show how little I know about Bass fishing when I go fishing every month of the year and catch Bass. Â So far in 2007 I have caught 4 fish that measured over 21" in size, one coming two days after the ice disappeared from the ponds. Â Two weeks ago I broke the 25" mark to register my second largest Bass of my life, all coming from Henry County ponds. I am retired, so I figured it was time to try something new, so this year I will be fishing the henry county ponds from a float tube. Â Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Â If you would like, I will post an address where you can view my 2007 fish as of this week. What is the only sign of intelligent life in Clinton? Â A sign at the north end of town that says "Warrenburg 28 miles" Oh yes I do have a sense of humor Quote
bassinandrew88 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 i posted once already on this but i think more people have joined so ill do it again: i live in lees summit and i have become pretty familiar and successful on lake jacomo, blue springs lake, and i know alot of ponds and small lakes that i am EXTREMELY confident and familiar on so anyone around the kc metro area send me a message. Super User cart7t Posted March 29, 2007 Super User Posted March 29, 2007 Welcome. You guys on the western side of the state have many more opportunities than those of us living in St Louis. Quote
Nick Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 I fish as a pro and guide on the Meramec River. Â I have lots of time to fish(retired) and enjoy going to new places. Â Have bassboat for tourneys, river jet for stream, and will go on fun trips when I have time. If you'd like to learn how to catch 'em at your place, or go with me on a smallie trip or largemouth trip, get in touch. Â If I'm going to your place, heck no, this isn't a guided trip for money. Â If you want to go with me on a Meramec trip, I do charge for that. On a fun trip to prefish for a tourney, we'll split costs. Thanks. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted March 31, 2007 Super User Posted March 31, 2007 I'm 15 minutes from Bass Pro in Spfd., 30 minutes from Table Rock, 45 minutes from Stockton.  I fish Bull Shoals, Pomme de Terre, Stockton, Table Rock, and Truman.  I spend a month in the spring on Stockton and a month in the fall on Pomme de Terre. My seasons are divided into early spring white bass, late spring-mid fall black bass and mid fall to early winter white bass.  I do some switching of species depending on which lake and which species seems to be hottest. I have been caught up with making crappie baits for my cancer survivor neighbor and testing them on crappie and whites.  I am busting a gut to get after largemouth and with 80° predicted for Monday I know I'll have to take my wife with me but what the heck she bought the boat. longhair Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I'm in Camdenton, Mo (Lake of the Ozarks) Â Just moved here last July and just got seriously going on the whole Bass fishing. Â So far so good! Â Thinking about trying to do a local tounament this year if possible. Â We shall see. Quote
lookin_for_5 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Hey all Seymour MO here about 30 min east of Spfd. on 60 highway. I fish Pomme, T-Rock, Norfork, Bullshoals every chance I have send me a PM if you are in the area or are looking for a bit of info on the lakes and area. Quote
RottManK9 Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 SO......What are all of you bringing me for my tackle box?  I can't wait to see all my new lures  ;D Just over 2 day's and counting!  I can't wait. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 19, 2007 Super User Posted April 19, 2007 Rottman, you need to post in the BFR Missouri members tournament thread at the top of this forum. Quote
bassassinator Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I am near St. Joseph. The nearest big water is Smithville Lake. That lake hates me. I fish it at least one time per week and still have problems catching fish there. It is a lake you either hate or love. My son was just on a visit from the USAF and loves to fish but would not go to Smithville with me. I did get a fat 17"er on a buzz bait out of 3 ft with a water temp of 56. I like to fish Mozingo, Happy Hollar, and am trying to learn Belcher Branch. Quote
WIII-60 Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Diggin up an old thread..... I'm in south Kansas City, redbridge/waldo area if you know where that is? I spend most of my time on a little, little lake named tapawingo because my parents own a house there. I've always got a boat launched when there's no ice so that's pretty awesome. I worked at the Jacomo marina as a kid teaching people how to drive boats and plan to spend time there this year and see how my memory of the layout holds up. Blue springs looks like it's got potential but I've not fished it yet. Quote
FisherCouple Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 I'm glad the old thread was pulled back up since I've only been coming to this forum for about 2 months or so...it's great to see the number of fishermen and fisherwomen that are in my area. Â My wife and I are from Sullivan, MO...about 65 miles southwest of St. Louis, right on I-44. Â We just bought our first bass boat...a 2004 Tracker Tournament V18...and can't wait to get it on the water. Â We'll be fishing Pomme, Truman, Stockton...and heading down to Kentucky Lake in August. Â Feel free to hit me up when you're going fishing...maybe we can shake a few together. Quote
Hawghead Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I live in St. Charles. Â Fish Busch CA several times a year. Â I also have access to a ~6 acre lake that is turning into a lunker lair. Â LOZ is my favorite place to fish. Â Grew up fishing up on the Mighty Miss north of Winfield and busch CA. I hope to get some time to try the Gasconade and Meramec this year. Quote
